any different to 95% of the fights in the UK?
Correct.

Fair play to him, he has positioned himself into a great position without the backing a Frank or an Eddie, by getting a World ranking via the WDO EU thing, with very little risk along the way.

Is he being bankrolled by family?

It is surely more cost effective for him to do it this way abroad, rather than in the UK ?

I'm sure we are all rooting for Patel who makes his way up the rankings in preparation for that world title fight he must be close to.
That looks an odd card, it has undefeated fighters from Sweden, Croatia and Germany.

Also a British fighter who is 4-2 vs a local journeyman
Lee Jones, the British fighter you mentioned, had 3 fights in 2006/7 then 3 in 2015/6. Now he's back again after two years out. Has he been inside or something?
I believe Lee is the leejonesjnr who posts regularly here. He explained why he was out for so many years in a previous thread - viewtopic.php?f=9&t=201083

Where does he get 17-0 from? Boxrec hasn’t added the results from the card yet but when they do it will still only give him 15 wins...

 It’s obviously extra security to stop the fans who couldn’t get tickets from storming the venue for a glimpse of the Prince...

I imagine he is fighting for free and paying his own expenses in the hope of getting a big fight and possibly to get himself to break even for these warm ups by building up a fan base.

Flights to Europe can be done at about 50 quid especially where he is fighting

Just follow the trend of missing the weight for title fights and challenge Yafai, you will be about 7 stone over so probably have to forfeit your purse !

Points win for Patel. But to be fair to Jaba Memishishi he has only been knocked out 3 times in his 6 losses.
