MVP

Post by Looking On »

Just a question that's been baffling me for a few weeks and a quick search on here doesn't seem to show anyone asking the question.

How come MVP is allowed to box under a bbbofc license alongside competing in bellator?

I know previously it was one of the criticisms by both posters on here and bbbofc that they had with biba in that they allowed them to compete in other combat sports.
And if they can't stop him doing so then they shouldn't be able to stop people boxing on biba shows either.
They can't use their usual excuse of it invalidating their insurance anymore when they are allowing him to do it.
Mma isn't even officially sanctioned in UK as there's no official overseeing governing body... so in effect they are allowing him to compete unlicensed.
I don't get it !
The bbbofc are such a hypocritical organisation it's it's rediculous.

Only had one pro fight so it doesn't look like he's serious as a pro boxer.

He is contracted to Bellator so has 2 fights I believe to go.. This is a prime example of money talking in this sport.. When Ronnie Clark turned over there was people sticking him in to the board for wanting to have a kickboxing fight.. I believe you should be able to compete in what you like but it’s funny the board let this happen bur not for others

He's just done an mma fight and is boxing again very soon on another Haymarket show., later this month I think, which is why I asked the question.
