Let history be made.

wombat? that's an insult....we demand an immediate and heartfelt apology, and ask that the commish punish you in a way that effectively curbs this sort of behavior in the future.

Sounds like another one running from Tiozzo. If Norris doesn't want it, we'll fight Zsolt Erdei this week

Both Frazier and Tyson are eligible to fight Ali for a title shot. Which fighter wants it?

Also, Joe Louis isn't matched yet, where a waiver could possibly be made to face Ali. Also, Durakovic could face him and give up the belt, should he win.

STILL UNMATCHED:

BoxBuzz - Muhammad Ali
Crease - Johnny Nelson
HyacinthusTurnipseed - Joe Louis, Ezzard Charles, Dariusz Michalczewski
P4P1 - Sonny Liston, David Haye

UNMATCHED WOMEN
Crease- Layla Ali
HomicideHenry - Amanda Serrano
HyacinthusTurnipseed - Lucia Rijker
P4P1 - Anne Wolfe

JOE FRAZIER AND MIKE TYSON ARE BOTH OFFERED A SHOT AGAINST ALI FOR HIS BELT. WHOEVER WANTS THE SHOT FIRST, IT'S YOURS. IF BOTH PASS, WE EXTEND AN OFFER TO JOE LOUIS, AS HE'S BEEN GIVEN A WAIVER. WE ALSO EXTEND A WAIVER TO GEORGE FOREMAN, SINCE HE IS IN THE TOP 15, AGAINST A CPU. SAME TO SONNY LISTON, WHO SITS AT #25 IN THE RANKINGS. A WAIVER FIGHTER WILL GET THE FIGHT ONLY IF THE TWO ELIGIBLE FIGHTERS PASS. FIRST WAIVER FIGHTER WHO SPEAKS UP, GETS THE TITLE SHOT AGAINST ALI. EVERYONE ELSE IS MATCHED VS ANOTHER MANAGED FIGHTER BASICALLY. IF ALL THOSE PASS, MY VOTE IS ALI VS DURAKOVIC, WHICH DURAKOVIC WILL HAND OVER THE BELT IF HE WAS TO WIN.

So.....there has been a wonderful new "rule" drawn into existence just for GBP....

IF neither Tyson or Frazier DON"T take the fight....then commish will "waiver" just for GBP the toughest galloots on the planet just to see if he and his band of Gorilla Upstarts can be whacked out of that belt.

We are not amused .......I OF COURSE accept the legitimate Tyson or Frazier options. Those were the rules.....and since the rule that was asked to be waved by us and another management team.....(namely to allow Jackson and Ali to fight) was apparently frowned upon in favor of another "waiver" one more appreciated by the top brass I guess.

We choose to take great umberage with this sort of impositional tinkering with rules. Our waiver rrequrest was not accepted by another one is acceptable? That's just not cricket.

If both Tyson and Frazier decline, we will just drop the belt.....so's we don't have to ask the hierarchy here to keep making special rules just for us. I doubt such waivers would have been placed for anyone else.....and although I'm very flattered to be treated so special......I don't want the commish and friends to have to go to all that paperwork just to move us out of where they don't want us.

If neither Tyson nor Frazier will accept the fight....then we will step aside....so that others may smile more broadly and have more fun.

If Tyson/Frazier were to decline, eve the secondary ruling wouldn't matter, since all those guys are matched up. Thus I will gave Louis/Foreman a waiver, even coming off a loss, they are still in the top 15. I also made Liston eligible being in the top 25. If there is somebody Ali would like to fight, by all means, feel free to post. You've made zero effort to find him a fight this week, thus most guys are already matched up. In fact, everyone ranked 15 or higher are matched. There is nobody eligible from the secondary ruling either from 16-25, that is unmatched and eligible. I gave Liston the option, since he is unmatched.

Bowe and Schmelling are also in the top 15 and matched against CPU opponents. If either of them wish to face Ali, I'm open to that as well. Trying not to let a fighter in with another managed fighter take it, because it will cause more matchmaking issues.

If ANY fighter wishes a shot against Ali, and you are not in a fight this week or fighting against a CPU opponent, speak up as well. An exception will have to be made either way this week if Frazier or Tyson pass on the fight.

didn't notice Ali had no challenger, I'll reluctantly put Tyson in the spot to keep things easy.

everyone else not matched will get Random cpu's this week.

from now on, I'd like to make Sundays the deadline to make matches, after that your fighters fate is in my hands.

Thanks for stepping up......... :TU:

Sunday works. I think one thing people have to remember to do is to set a backup cpu. A few people set fights that weren't accepted, but had no backups. Hycin...is usually solid for showing up every week, so hopefully all is well with him. Crease...who knows what's up with him this early going of the season....

Now we're cookin......

It is a tell tale sign of just how loved we are that all "special rules" arrive when we are not considered to be following some new definition of just what is "fun" and "fair"......

as if perhaps that definition was in the hands of only the hard working, legitimate, fair minded and altruistic.

What about those of us who simply like to disrupt, and challenge the status quo? Are we not human? Are we animals?

Never mind....yes we are. Gorilla Based Pugilsim as a matter of fact. Primal, and non conformist. Abysmal, yet refined.

You have nobody to blame but yourself Buzz. You've been on here the last few days, but made zero effort in making a fight. The first eligible fighters for current champs are guys 1-15, not coming off a loss. Tyson and Frazier fit that. If both of them passed, it would go to 16-25 ranked guys not coming off a loss. There is nobody that fits that criteria. After that, it's anyone ranked currently in the top 25, who isn't facing another managed fighter. That makes the matchmaking easy this late in the Sim week.

As for your crying over the Johnson/Ali fight, nobody said you couldn't do it next week. However, champs can't unify the belts unless they've met a certain amount of defenses. Either of you could have asked if you could keep your belts, have a non-title fight, then we'l go back to defending in week 10. Your plan was to drop the belts. Which just causes more confusion and admin stuff on my end.

Geto....I'm taken aback by your "fake news" report.
I do believe we alluded to the fact that we were hearing "crickets chirping" and that any and all who could pass muster were welcomed. We reminded folks that you simply need to be properly qualified.

I'm not quite sure if that open of a call for competition has every been heard in these halls before. And yet you interpret that as somehow stifling the process? I think it was the rules that posed the issue.....not our OPEN TO ALL call for competition.

It's ok....it's well known that bureaucrats just can't be satisfied.

Awesome! :box:

And Buzz..... Johnson will ALWAYS be open to fighting Muhammad Ali :TU: belts or no belts on the line.... But Johnson may as well go after the most dangerous men in the game which is why Marciano is getting a crack at title, as he's superior to Joe Frazier.... It may as well be said if Johnson beats Rocky he'd beat Dempsey and Tyson as well because they're all two sides of the same coin.

Let me tell you something sir, win or lose we are singularly THE most honorable and forthright organization that has ever stepped into the simulated squared circle.

We will not be swayed by folks like you who step in and suggest that the proper protocols not be followed.

With that said, we promise that Ali and Jack will meet on the first week that the rules provide an option for such an event. Belt or no belt.

The great geto knows the path, and correctly suggests that to veer from it is worthy of disdain and outrage......and we read his words, and we felt the passion, and commitment....and have come away with a new found appreciation for all things that follow hierarchy, tradition, and "the way things ought to be".

And that my friends....is the story of evolution and civilization.
