He probably has yes, just very few times and usually the odds are stacked in his fighters favour, give us a few examples then mickey, excluding world title fights.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Sefer Seferi - 9 June 2018
Wazza plays the same game as Hearn, the old risk reward.
Sometimes fighters are sent abroad with little chance of winning but for a nice payday, Lockett v Pavlik, Jennings v Cotto, even Williams v Tyson which of course came off.
Hearn did it with Rees v Broner more recently with Quiqq and Campbell.
Paying big bucks for an away fighter is less common Hatton v Tsyzu, Hide v Klit, Mitchell v Katsidis

I backed Hatton, Klit and Katsidis in those.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Sefer Seferi - 9 June 2018
I fancied Mitchell to beat Katsidis in that one. Was gutted. Was always a bit of a Mitchell fan.

I've just watched that fight again, still can't really believe how Mitchell came apart so easily, great left hook though, but still unexpected.Stuarty wrote: ↑08 Jun 2018, 03:41Nah I was jumping around like a mentalistsmiling assassin wrote: ↑08 Jun 2018, 03:26Bet you weren’t cheering for him when Burns lit him up was you mate![]()
Again, I didn't expect that to happen! I thought Burns in a close decision.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Sefer Seferi - 9 June 2018
It was warming up nicely as well although Burns was getting the better of the exchanges and his jab was on point. That was probably Burns last top performance.bigjack wrote: ↑08 Jun 2018, 03:47I've just watched that fight again, still can't really believe how Mitchell came apart so easily, great left hook though, but still unexpected.Stuarty wrote: ↑08 Jun 2018, 03:41Nah I was jumping around like a mentalistsmiling assassin wrote: ↑08 Jun 2018, 03:26

I noticed he's getting a run out on the Newcastle bill next week. That'll be his 50th fight!

Be nice to get a win and then call it a day at the half century.Stuarty wrote: ↑08 Jun 2018, 04:42It was warming up nicely as well although Burns was getting the better of the exchanges and his jab was on point. That was probably Burns last top performance.

Can't see him stopping. I can see Hearn using him for Ritson.bigjack wrote: ↑08 Jun 2018, 04:49Be nice to get a win and then call it a day at the half century.

He must have had some decent paydays with Hearn after he lost the case to FW.
His manager went bankrupt yeah?
I thought he worked in a sports shop?

He's probably done alright with Hearn mate yeah but he's not as well off as he should be and had to file for sequestration while he was with Hearn due to Frank.
He works in DW sports in Coatbridge yeah. He also served his time as a mechanic with Arnold Clarke.

Been on the Manchester Arena website this morning. One group of tickets (£40 seats) sold out. Every other one of the remaining nine groups bar one is pretty much have as many as you like. This has sold abysmally.keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑07 Jun 2018, 08:34 Anyone going to this? Mickey?

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Sefer Seferi - 9 June 2018
Yes I think he went bankrupt declaring about £400k debts which was basically his and Wrank Farren’s legal fees and compensation to Farren. Terrible thing is I think he was owed about £200k but the court accepted the money could never be paid to him because the company had been liquidated by Wrank...

Not sure about Calzaghe but I think it’s a stunt he’s pulled more than once...bigjack wrote: ↑08 Jun 2018, 06:26Didn't the same thing happen with Calzaghe after the Hopkins fight ?,lost a fortune.chinarich wrote: ↑08 Jun 2018, 06:23Yes I think he went bankrupt declaring about £400k debts which was basically his and Wrank Farren’s legal fees and compensation to Farren. A quick search says Calzaghe won his case ,i'm pretty sure Calzaghe didn't get paid for the fight initially after Wazza liquidated the companychinarich wrote: ↑08 Jun 2018, 06:28Not sure about Calzaghe but I think it’s a stunt he’s pulled more than once...bigjack wrote: ↑08 Jun 2018, 06:26Didn't the same thing happen with Calzaghe after the Hopkins fight ?,lost a fortune.chinarich wrote: ↑08 Jun 2018, 06:23

A few people on here were saying Fury's comeback was going to be a bigger ticket seller than Haye-DeMori. I was at that fight and the 02 was packed. You never know, there might be a late rush of Albanian's buying tickets.dirk2686 wrote: ↑08 Jun 2018, 06:21Been on the Manchester Arena website this morning.
