Interesting. And more likely given Alvarez v Jacobs talks.
Be good to have Golovkin over here again. Against a difficult style.
Great opportunity for Saunders, as he’s a difficult southpaw and a Golovkin has looked plodding the past couple of years.

Presuming he recovers from his "injury"
That said I'd give Bill a fair chance, a few years ago I'd say no way.
Re: Gennady Golovkin V Billy Joe Saunders
Saunders gone to Matchroom then?
Re: Gennady Golovkin V Billy Joe Saunders
I would need more concrete proof of this. BJS is a risk, does not have an inspiring style to Canelos fan base, and Canelo isn't prone to travelling past Vegas or California.
BJS on points in the UK, Canelo in the USA.

Unless he thinks Golovkin is for the taking, at this time, in the UK - and that Saunders has the right skill set to pull it off.

Re: Gennady Golovkin V Billy Joe Saunders
Obviously Golovkin will travel to the UK for money as was the case with Brook, when Golovkin was struggling to find an opponent. Hearn bringing him over. Now, with Alvarez negotiations looking bleak, could there be a legit chance?
And we know FW can deliver this kind of fight, as was the case with Hatton-Tszyu. But Saunders doesn’t have a Hatton-level following. And FW as we know brought Kessler over to unify with Calzaghe. Both were hugely successful moves but the winner ended up leaving Warren shortly after. They were bigger names than Saunders. How important for FW is Saunders-Golovkin?

Frank has to make ppv for bt. Ggg will sell in London against anyone. Kell got lower crowds in his hometown than Bill has ever got but sold out The O2? BT will back it all the way, and dwarf Sky financially.

Frank was close to losing the whole BT gig only a few months ago.
They’re not overly impressed and I’d be surprised if this is the fight they went all in on.
BT care very little for their sports channel. It runs at a loss. They aren’t actually all that bothered about the football!

Can't see this fight happening under allegedly in UK. He's really not a big time promoter anymore.

The idea that GGG would turn down $20 odd million to fight Alvarez in favour of £2 or 3 million tops for Saunders is just ridiculous

This fight was actually going to happen until GGG-Canelo finally got signed and stifled it.

No sooner had Loeffler come to after-11th hour terms with Canelo's Golden Boy promoter Oscar De La Hoya than he revealed: "They knew we definitely had a solid agreement to fight Saunders if our rematch did not happen".
