The best US boxer, p4p, right now, June 2018 ?
Who ? Why ?
Re: The best US boxer, p4p, right now, June 2018 ?
Garcia, he's 4 division champion, had good opposition. Crawford is next, belts in 2 divisions and undisputed in one of them, also had tough opposition. Then Spence, then Wilder, cause Spence has a better ratio of solid scalps to the amount of them.

Crawford now has belts in 3 divisions

Oh, yeah. So, his overall achievements seem to be bigger, than Garcia's. Mikey has conquered on a 1 cathegory more, but hasn't unified yet anything.

Crawford is not only the best in America. He is the best in the world.

That's a tough one. I think Spence would overpower Crawford if they ever fought.
Re: The best US boxer, p4p, right now, June 2018 ?
Opening this topic, I did not vote. So, there are several very difficult questions (can Wilder beat Joshua, can Spence beat Crawford, can Mikey beat Loma), and I have no answers. Anyway, if Wilder is able to become undisputed HW champion, he will be my choice, this is the best achievement in the modern day boxing.

Not even close when you have guys like Usyk, Lomachenko, Mikey, Sor Rungvisai, and Inoue all putting on great performances against good competition. Not even sure if Crawford's resume is better than Mikey's. Mikey has the best single win in Broner.tiny_acres wrote: ↑10 Jun 2018, 13:14 Crawford is not only the best in America. Would have to do a deep comparison between Inoue and Crawford's resume.

Crawford. He's the best pound for pound alongside Lomachenko.

Crawford and Lomachenko are best boxers in world right now IMO. You must take someone bigger and stronger against them to make fight competetive. Lomachenko - Garcia and Crawford - Spence.

I'll stick with Spence on potential.
Doesn't have the resume of some of the others, not yet anyway. But using the old "eye test" method, he seems out of this world.
Yes, Spence vs Crawford is a match up for the ages.
Crawford looked strong last night in his welterweight debut. But as strong as Spence?
I was a bit disappointed in Crawford's power. I expected him to take out an open, aggressive, limited fighter like Horn in rapid order.
Instead it was more of a wearing down process. Chipping away until Horn finally folded.
I don't think Crawford's power at 147 matches Spence. Not at this time at least. He might need more time to physically develop at welter.
I wouldn't hesitate to pick Spence to beat Crawford.

Crawford and Lomachenko at the top. Head and shoulders above the rest.ewenhay wrote: ↑10 Jun 2018, 13:48Yep. Crawford is the best in the business.tiny_acres wrote: ↑10 Jun 2018, 13:14 Crawford is not only the best in America. He is the best in the world.

Crawford is an ATG type of boxer and I really hope that Uncle Bob let's him take the kinds of fights that he wants. I think that TC would knock Spence out, I really do. Just an opinion but this guy fights angrily and I don't see another boxer with better tools.
I don't consider the other American Boxers as ATG type of fighters.

I like when someone just says that without backing up their opinion. Makes me laugh because it's very often they don't have a leg to stand on.tiny_acres wrote: ↑10 Jun 2018, 16:29I respect your opinion....... Okay, tell me how Broner is "nowhere close" to the best win on their collective resumes. I'm waiting. We can have this argument all over again, and you can go ahead and look like an idiot saying Indongo.

I would struggle to think of a win that Broner has to justify his ranking as a good name, especially at 140lbs or above. hell his best at 135 would be Demarco i think?
