Yeah pooh fight, a fight that doesn't match the venue, Guessing they want to milk Frampton with easier opponents before he fights someone decent. Need a 126lb WBSS tournament

Warrington will be the same - milk 2-3 easy defences before you need to fight a live opponent.

Frampton doesn't like Hearn. It's personal I think. Frampton is a working class lad and he calls a spade a spade so I don't think he could suffer Hearns bullshit!
Aye mate I know Frampton's made no secret for what he thinks of Hearn ay , I think Frampton was considering Eddie's offer though from what I read, as I said Frampton's a smart cookie and after whats gone on with the McGuigan's I'm sure he knows what he's doing
Yet Frampton’s biggest payday albeit we don’t know what he eventually ended up with came from Hearn.

A line that always sticks with me from Scott Quigg...your the A side...the draw....bring the money/Crowd but I’ll still end up earning more than you - he was probably right now in hindsight.

I know but since the BT link up it seems to be going backwards.

Ended up with less content - largely poor shows and several cancelled.

allegedly: No Deal Done Yet For Carl Frampton Opponent

Carl Frampton's promoter Frank Warre'n has told Boxing Scene that they are still working on an opponent for 'The Jackal's' dream fight at Windsor Park, Belfast on August 18.

Frampton (25-1, 14 KOs) the WBO Interim Featherweight champion, will realise a lifelong ambition when he fights at the home of the Northern Ireland football team in just under ten weeks time.

Who he will face in the opposite corner that night is seemingly still up for grabs.

"We're having a press conference on Wednesday and we are negotiating with a couple of opponents," Warren told 'Scene today (June 11).

Speculation has been rife that Frampton will face WBO ranked number five contender Luke Jackson (16-0, 7 KOs), but Warren says no deal has been signed off yet as they look for an opponent from the governing body's top 10.

On the same show, that features the second comeback fight of Tyson Fury, rumours have surfaced that flyweight Paddy Barnes may well be in his first world title fight in just his sixth professional contest. Ranked number six with the WBO, and holder of the organisation's Inter-Continental strap all roads look to point to a fight with WBO 112lbs champion Sho Kimura from Japan. 'Scene also understands that a second world title fight could also be added to the outdoor show on August 18 as well.

"The plan is with Carl he'll have that fight (on August 18) and then straight after that fight we go to him and (Josh) Warrington [IBF Featherweight champion]," Warren added.

Is there any evidence for this? In the last decade or so the traffic, whilst not all one way, has undeniably seen fighters shift towards Hearn rather than FW. Add to that the court cases and liquidations, it doesn't seem to present the latter as the well paying guy everyone wants to be with.

If what you say is true why did Bellew, Khan, Smith, Brook, Burns, Cleverly, Mitchell and so on jump ship?
Yes, you’ve got several pros on here who’ve boxed for both telling you. What do you actually want, their bank statements?

Hearn is definitely the better promoter and while I don't really like him, he does pay his guys and most of them see to like him....

Imagine Hearn had Josh Taylor? He'd do a cracking job with him!

ive seen multiple journeymen say on forums with respect to there own pay that warren is the highest, but thats the thing, those arejourneymen. that could have absolutely zero bearing on what its like for a side fighters. clearly matchroom deals with bigger amounts of money and greater exposure for the a side fighters then warren does, and look at who the vast majoirty of the big names and hottest amaters are going pro with. its not frank

And who are those pros? With all due respect there's a big difference between journeymen getting a few more quid and world title level fighters.

You can't bury your head in the sand. Traffic between the two has largely been one way for many years now and there has to be a reason for that.

I’m not here to insult good pros. Mike Tyson, McClellan, Benn, Eubank, Naz, Hatton, Lennox have all said it. In recent years, Brad Saunders said it straight to my face. AJ is on mega money, no doubt, the rest aren’t. Josh didn’t leave for no reason. Neither did Selby. Or Frampton....

I think it's widely known that Fwank pays more to be honest except for ppv fighters. Matchroom can get people like bellew more money than anybody else cos he talks a lot an mouths off. Therefore they hype that talk an the casual fans love it an then fighters like bellew go in to make good money. Fighters like Aj will make ridiculous money with sky's ppv platform that no other promoter in the UK could match

I think the reason a lot of fighters switched from Warrn is that there was issues with being paid on time etc. I remember Saunders saying would you rather get paid on time or get paid a week late but twice as much

Bellew left FW, as did Brook, Khan, Groves, DeGale, Cleverly, Mitchell, Burns, Calzaghe. Latter two ended up in court with him. Not everyone who leaves goes to Hearn and not everyone who moves moves from FW but it's undeniable that the majority of the traffic is one way and all of those wouldn't be walking away from FW if he was such a good employer.

BJS coming out with I'd rather be paid half as much a week early is exactly the sort of stuff I'd expect from a guy who fights in leisure centres for world titles.

Mr 40% is in danger of turning into Mr 50% with leisure centres! Do you really want me to tell you matchroom shows in sports halls? I was there, live on Sky, illl reel of 20 if you like.

Have you ever been to The York Hall? It’s a sports centre. Swimming pool, the lot. Not once have I seen Tapia, Benn etc criticised for boxing there. Silly question, you won’t have been, son. And it holds about 1,300.

That’s your opinion. They obviously see it differently or else they wouldn’t have signed with him. Personally, I rate allegedly.

Mick, do you ever stop to think about how old some of your examples are? This is why Hearn repeatedly talks about other promoters failing at their jobs because they just don't move with the times.

All the names mentioned before left FW. They must have left for a reason. Most people don't leave their job en-masse to work for a rival who pays considerably less. Mentioning how FW pays well because a guy who retired two decades back says so doesn't really answer the question about how the dominant direction in the modern game is away from FW.

As for your comments about venues, of course I know there are great fights at the York Hall. My point is that your beloved BJ is fighting in a tiny venue for a world title which surely wouldn't happen if he had a better promoter.

What channel was Tapia on in England? Is it a sports centre. I know you’ve never been but I can assure you it is. Was Johnny really a waste of space?

What does Johnny Tapia have to do with legions leaving FW despite him being according to you (in a sort of no-names, you'll just have to trust me way) a far better promoter and indeed payer.

Can you give a simple answer as to why you think all those aforementioned boxers have left him?

The fan boys like Dirk live for the IFL 1 hour specials and the matey banter with Fast Car. They love the fake beef as well. Whyte versus Parker on PPV when they’re already spending a ton on sky each month. Form an orderly queue behind Dirk please.

I've paid twelve quid a month for years to FW and what has that got me this year from his stable? No Saunders, no Fury, no Flanagan.

I don't have any affection for any promoter beyond them serving up good boxing. If people want to wax lyrical about how great FW is then they can go ahead because from a fan's point of view I simply don't see it.
