Re: Frankie Gavin v Kerman Lejarraga
That should give him time to make the weight.
Re: Frankie Gavin v Kerman Lejarraga
He butchered Skeete - you’d expect similar here as well.
Re: Frankie Gavin v Kerman Lejarraga
Kerman will be a big favourite, I'm not sure why the Spaniard has taken so much time off between fights, maybe he is injured

Frankie has about the same chance as Skeete had. Which equates to the round about the same chance that Michael "Jack" Johnson had against young Tyson.
Johnson lost several teeth from the impact of the final right hand.

Re: Frankie Gavin v Kerman Lejarraga
out of the ring for over a year and then back to this-no fun for Frankie.
Re: Frankie Gavin v Kerman Lejarraga
What a wasted talent Frankie is just no discipline whatsoever
Re: Frankie Gavin v Kerman Lejarraga
Having seen nothing of the Spaniard before his last fight, I expected Skeete to go over there and outbox him. Lejarraga looked good though, pressured Skeete well and is clearly very heavy handed. Gavin at his best was a good technical boxer, but he's 32 now and 3 and half years removed from his last meaningful win (coincidentally against Skeete). All the momentum seemingly on the side of Lejarraga here, another stoppage win is likely imo.

If FG makes the weight and the fight actually goes ahead I don’t think he will have the physical strength to keep Lejerraga off him.
I saw on my Facebook today that Gavin has signed with BCB who seem to be growing pretty rapidly in recent times.

He’s signed with every body over the years but still let’s himself down every timeleejonesjnr wrote: ↑12 Jun 2018, 16:57 If FG makes the weight and the fight actually goes ahead I don’t think he will have the physical strength to keep Lejerraga off him.

Read in the same article announcing this fight he's got a 10 round stay busy fight sceduled inbetween. Expect him to be firing on all cylinders if this actually comes off.
Last roll of the dice for Gavin. Haven't seen much of the Spaniard but I expect Frankie to lose.
After that? Josh Kelly and probably retire?
Re: Frankie Gavin v Kerman Lejarraga
Frankies going to have a hard time of it here
Re: Frankie Gavin v Kerman Lejarraga
The Spaniard is a tough hombre - and it will be a hostile crowd.
Frankie has his work cut out here, but good luck to him.

Re: Frankie Gavin v Kerman Lejarraga
I am quite excited to see how Kerman progresses, before the Skeete fight I saw him as a bit of a face first, ticket selling slugger, but he looked more like Roberto Duran in a great showing!
Let's see if he flattered to deceive but he certainly seemed Katsidis sort of level.
It wasn't like he just caught Skeete with a big shot, he worked openings, boxed intelligently and when he had him hurt he varied his work well.
Maybe he won't be a Duran but he generates a lot of excitement and I am sure I will enjoy the ride!

Yeah good point he showed more offensive skill than say Kiko Martinez. Katsidis is a good shoutCoco wrote: ↑13 Jun 2018, 14:55 Let's see if he flattered to deceive but he certainly seemed Katsidis sort of level.

Re: Frankie Gavin v Kerman Lejarraga
i think a great fight , no messing about frankie if you still want it your in with a tough boy, no hiding here, love to see frankie achieve something ,had such promise , i dont think he is bad lad ,just not mature enough
Re: Frankie Gavin v Kerman Lejarraga
well, 5 months later (bizarre announcing it that far ahead?) its about to happen
call me daft, but in frankies other ebu challenge i actually had him just edging bundu, although i think most had him losing. but this seems like one where hell probably taste the canvas and be stopped, or if not dropped a few times to lose a decision.

Frankie will most likely be blowing out of his arse after 4 or 5 rounds then wilt under the pressure.
Lovely skills when in full flow, but it's been few and far between.

Surely Allegedly could pick this up ?Bigdogsnose wrote: ↑13 Nov 2018, 08:32I've checked everywhere I can think and it doesn't seem to have been picked up. Might be on Spanish TV or something. Have seen a few people ask on twitter as well but no response.

He’s in great shape for this.
He’s switched from full coke to Pepsi max and has REFUSED to use the packet in his Salt and Shakes.
