Chisora v Takam announced for 28th July

Post by joshj909 »

Decent scrap in my opinion. Loser is most likely going to be too far from getting a title shot before retirement (ambitiously - i don't think either would get close enough but Takam go this so...), while the winner has a decent win to add to their record.

Takam should win this fight with ease and perhaps stop Chisora late, assuming the Brit decides to compete in journeyman mode.

Otherwise, if Chisora is mentally “right” and has prepared well, Takam scores a clear decision victory, where the Brit will be moderately competitive for several rounds.

The thing is… no matter who wins this bout; this fight doesn’t enhance the careers of either man. It’s simply an opportunity to earn another payday.

Chisora can be in any shape, yet he won't win well prepared Takam, I believe. Takam by confident decision.

This has all the ingredients for good old fashioned brawl :box:

Takam is small favorite here. I will be surprised if he can stop Chisora. Interesting to see what Chisora has left at this point.

Great fight to add to the card. the rest of the undercard was all very one sided favorites. i think takem will win this but its a close fight, bookies have it about a one third chance vs two third chance in favor of takem. more evenish fights the better. seeing a huge name flog someone can be fun but id rather go in not knowing how it will go down.

Ridiculously good fight. Both stocky, physical guys. I'd wager probably going to be as good as Whyte/Chisora.

This is perfect. A few years ago, Takam, Chisora, and Stiverne were like the forever #9, 10, 11 guys in the division. You couldn't separate them. In 2018, you can definitely separate them. I think almost everyone has it Takam > Chisora > Stiverne. But either way, this fight is very well-matched. Not to mention that Chisora's best win is Malik Scott, and Takam's best win is like Tony Thompson, so both fighters' resumes could really benefit from a win against one another. Most importantly, even match-ups are awesome.

I agree. Really difficult to pick this one. Takam is really tough. But, it really depends on what Chisora shows up.
