They were quite similar boxers. Two small relentless punchers. Both extremely skilled in offence and prefered to be offence-oriented. Tyson, however, was a fast starter, while Frazier was a slow starter. Probably it would have been a 50/50 and most likely it would have been a brawl, where Tyson would have had more chances of scoring a KO early and Frazier - late. You had to break Joe early or there was almost no chances to do it later. Bonavena wasn't able to finish Joe after the success in the 2nd, he blew the fight. You had to be like Foreman, but could anyone be like that, except Foreman himself?

Frazier was a mile wide and a foot deep; Tyson was an inch deep and a mile wide. That's essentially the difference between the two men. Frazier had the mental fortitude and instinct; Tyson was systematic and emotional.

And if Joe was FOTC form, Foreman would have ran into trouble as well.

Looks like an easy win for Tyson. Im really struggling to see how anyone thinks Frazier could win this.

Joe had more heart. If the 3 knockdown rule was in effect, then Mike wins early. If not, Joe going to give that prolonged beating.

If Frazier comes through the first two rounds, he metes out the beating of all beatings on Tyson.
