Joyce won that fight under amateur and pro rules. Same as Hrgovic beat Yoka. I’ve read Yoka got a gift against Hrgovic in the worlds in 2015 too. Anyway, it doesn’t matter now, he wasn’t scoring the fights, he just benefited from obviously being something of an AIBA favourite.

Of course he should be beating Allen. Most of us here there would just like to see Allen pull it off.
Joyce v Yoka would be great. Don’t see why it can’t happen soon either, although it’d be rather surprising to see them fight for the commonwealth title!

Yoka is 20 miles of water from the hotbed of heavyweight boxing. Dubois, Gorman, Joyce, Chisora, Whyte, Hughie, Fury, Joshua. Plenty of fights across the channel for him if he fancies it

There is no chance Dave Allen can beat this guy, i have Dave Allen losing to Joyce comfortably and Tony Yoka beat Joyce to win the gold in the olympics in 2016 though it was considered a controversial decision though the ametuers are scored differently to the Pro's.... in the words of Hatman himself "I don't know what brand of crack these guys are smokin'".

Nonetheless this is a good fight for Tony Yoka as it should push his name further into the heavyweight boxing scene and would be nice to see Joyce defend his commonwealth vs Tony Yoka and see if they can set the record straight once and for all.

After rewatching the AIBA World Championships 2015 and also 2016 Olympics both where Tony Yoka won, now the Tony Yoka comfortably won AIBA World Championships 2015 as he was landing the more clearer punches and he looked like he was hurt in the 2nd though Joyce tried to walk him down and ended up taking some punches and it appeared like Joyce was also hurt in the 2nd due to this... Tony Yoka ended up wining every round 3-0, now the 2016 Olympics i feel that Joyce may of won due to agression though thats not how they score in amatuers and even if Joyce was throwing more punches Tony Yoka was landing the clearer punches and Joyce just trys to walk his opponents down. So if it was a Pro fight i would o fgave it to Joyce but its not so i gave it to Tony Yoka.

And how is Tony Yoka a hype job? Noone even talks about him this is the first time i've heard his name mentioned and it only because hes fighting an English fighter, Tony Yoka is a better boxer than Joyce as Joyce just trys to use his size and strength to walk his opponents down where as Tony Yoka tends to move more and use counter punches to win his bouts.

I would love to see them fight in the Pro's at least 10 or 12 rounds as it appears Joyce has a better engione and i would like to see if Tony Yoka can make it to hear the last bell but if he does i would say Tony Yoka wins on points.

Dave Allen is not great but I would rather see him work to win some belts (Area, English; etc.) than slip into opponent mode as he seems to be in danger of doing.

As for this fight, the only way he wins is if he stops Yoka and I don’t see that happening...
