Re: Settle an argument
Depends on who gets drawn against who.....
Re: Settle an argument
Do they each fight each other once? Or is it a knockout format? In that case what's the draw?
And I doubt very much if our opinions will settle any argument![[icon_e_biggrin.gif] :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)

Re: Settle an argument
So there’s been 2 totally different answers, plus an ‘it depends’.
Hope that settles it for you

Re: Settle an argument
Hahaha cheers lads. More a question of who’s best I suppose. Reckon any of them can force there way into the top two!?
Re: Settle an argument
tough one, i feel pretty good that it wouldnt be breazeale, hughie, or pulev though
Re: Settle an argument
is hughie really gonna get through 3 fights and that level and not get caught in one of them for negativity? he already lost to one of the others because of that

Re: Settle an argument
Can’t really see any of them breaking into the top 2. Joshua has already beaten Parker, Whyte & Breazale, and Wilder has already beaten Ortiz. Hughie isn’t a danger to anyone, Povetkin is on the slide and I don’t rate the rest.
Although I do think Parker would have a very good chance of beating Wilder, as long as he was more positive than he was against AJ.

The referee stopped him pretty much every time he tried to be positive.Boxerbeetle wrote: ↑16 Jun 2018, 07:27 Can’t really see any of them breaking into the top 2. The referee didn’t force him to be so negative.Horse wrote: ↑16 Jun 2018, 07:59The referee stopped him pretty much every time he tried to be positive.Boxerbeetle wrote: ↑16 Jun 2018, 07:27 Can’t really see any of them breaking into the top 2. Re: Settle an argument
He split them up every time they started trading blows.
The referee did force Parker to be negative.
The referee ruined the fight. It was a shameful display.

Re: Settle an argument
Parker fights a scared fight and loses a decision to Wilder. That "don't-hit-me" jab would really annoy the judges in america
Re: Settle an argument
If your not considering advanced aging for the tournament to finish, I'd say Ortiz, followed by Povetkin. I couldn't see Pulez, Breazeale, or Fury winning it honestly.

Re: Settle an argument
It really depends on how the draw was structured, but basing it on the notion that the cream will always rise to the top, I think Parker might just be the best of the bunch, so will come out on top.London Boy wrote: ↑16 Jun 2018, 06:24 Theoretical 8 man tournament. Re: Settle an argument
just ranking the top 3 on best chances of winning
1. Ortiz
2. Povetkin
3. Parker
I give little to no chance for any of the others

Re: Settle an argument
Parker for me, just think he has a little bit of everything and although he falls a bit short of world class at the elite level he has enough in his locker to win against all of those.
