Ritson was superb again, he's mental, seek and destroy, we can say he cant trade like that up a level and we'd be right but he's got some power and explosiveness, Hyland down 3 times, brave and game but couldn't take the power, he tried to fight fire with fire but Ritson is a beast, great repertoire again, lets get him a European title

Bellew is talking pure sh*t. Hyland knew that he couldn't box and move and he had to stand and fight at that point. If he tried to run Ritson would have run through him. Bellew is maybe thinking about pure spoiling and pure survival mode. I can't see that working when you have someone coming at you like Ritson was, theres nowhere to hide in there. What Hyland was doing reminded me of Echols vs Brewer. Very explosive fight. Close 1st, Echols takes an absolute hiding in the 2nd, very similar to what Hyland was taking, down multiple times and lucky to make it to the bell but listen to the advice his cornerman gives him in the corner after the round "you're going to have to stand and punch with this guy" and look at what happens in the third

Ritson can't get the rounds he needs to learn. He's way above this level. Hyland knew he couldn't get out of the way, so he didn't really have any choice but to trade, it was his only chance, and so Ritson annihilated him.

i agree hylo felt a jab, looked like it hurt him, he knew his own chance was a trade of, but ritson can take a shot too

Wow, Ritson is an animal.

Bloody nice bloke too.

I think a few Lightweight champs will have had squeaky sphincters watching that.

The only way Hylo could of won was fighting fire with fire he just doesn’t have as much as Ritson.. Wow Ritson is something special like to see him in with Crolla or Burns next could he take them out like that.. I said at the start Hylo should of waited on Ritson vacating below Ritson is much weaker at British level I hope he can come back stronger

That was a fun watch :TU:
Not quite sure how it maps on to Ritson vs Hyland jr tho ?!
What are you saying - that Hyland was gonna come back in the 3rd like Echols ? :box:

Ritson was open when he was going for the kill. Calzaghe did the same thing when Byron Mitchell dropped him. He went straight to war and managed to catch Mitchell.

Nelson had retired from boxing after the Conlan fight because he couldn't get another fight.

That did nothing for him.
Bit harsh there Naan imo

Just saying Hyland did the right thing in standing and punching with Ritson. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't but you have to get a guys respect in there.

George can punch. I have a bet on him to KO kelly. Long shot but the guy looks like he is a good puncher and a good mover. He's starched a few journeymen with what looked like arm punches
