Year, big talent for sure but cocky as fornicate. Will be hurtfully punished with that arrogant style when he step up against fighter whith skills, confidence and power. For instance Kris George isn't bad boxer but have neither hard punch no willpower to go through hell to keep a chance to win. Aussie guy was not not shaken ar seriously hurt but was completely demoralized by Kelly's speed and selfconfidence so just gave fight up.

Nelson had retired from boxing after the Conlan fight because he couldn't get another fight.

That did nothing for him.
Bit harsh there Naan imo
Just has a look at Nelsons resume that was his first time making that weight in 2 years and he was 20lbs heavier in his comeback fight.

I actually think Edwards has talent but there has been no progression since he won the British title. He dropped it then fought journeymen than a fighter who had just come out of retirement.

I really hope it's not Edwards and Yafai next. Yafai should have better things to do.

Ritson is one of if not my favourite domestic fighter right now.

I've said for years it would be great for if there was a Geordie version of Josh Warrington that Newcastle fans can get behind.

Well there is one now, he had the black and white stripes on his shorts and the atmosphere was buzzing. Ritson is also a really humble guy with a good story, ( nearly gave up boxing to pack boxes in a bleach factory). He's great to watch, he's active and getting matched the right way, what is there not to like.

Ritson is the star in the North East not Josh Kelly, Hearn needs to treat Ritson as a priority as he needs legitimate headliners. I think the Tommy Coyle fight in Newcastle is perfect for both fighters. Tommy will want the British title, Ritson can get the commonwealth and a domestic name on his resume.

Apart from a few rounds in the bag for Josh Kelly it was a bit of a waste of time for him, he spent every round throwing mainly single power shots, 2 or 3 at most, cant see he learned much from it, all he had to do was work off the jab and he could of broke him down impressively, not the second coming like Bellew was wittering on about.

Why can't they both be stars in the North East?

Contrasting styles and characters. Plenty of room for both.

So you've written Kellys career off after 7 fights. Good for you :TU:
