Spence's body punching is devastating. You can't stand in front of him or he'll rip your body to shreds.

Spence has always been a beast to the body.

Considering how poorly he absorbs body shots, I imagine Thurman will continue to find reasons to avoid Spence.

Thurman lost ALL of his credibility by shamelessly ducking Spence.

Is Thurman still hanging out in Nepal ? Will he fight again after this spiritual awakening?

He was in Japan a few days ago. Come back planned for August in New York.

I should see Ray today so will ask for updates.

He doesn't seem the same bloke anymore though does he. I think he's moved on from the rigours of the fight life, mentally and physically.

He's a smart guy. He knowd he can't beat Spence and he can live comfortably off what he made in boxing

Well if he's a smart guy then he knows he can make another million or five having a comeback fight then going up against Spence.

Plus you have no idea what he knows. You just think he can't beat Spence so are assuming that's why he's not fighting.

Be a real shame if he calls it a day, he's an entertainer. But if he's moved on from it all then good luck to him. Takes some big inner peace to do it from his position.

I don't know why he's not fighting.

But I don't think that it's strictly about injuries.

There has been talk Thurman will fight in August, but we've heard this return talk many tines over the past year.

I still think that he moves to 154. It will give Thurman a seemingly legit reason for not clashing with Spence.

Thurman is trying to stall and make Spence move up to 154. It's a matter of time before Spence moves up and beats the 154 guys too. He's not going to be at much of a size disadvantage at all. As good as Crawford is, I think Spence does him too if they fight. Horn wouldn't have lasted 3 rounds with Spence. Crawford is very overrated now for me.

actually look at spences fights. chris van heerden went 8 with spence, peterson 7, bundu 6,, alejandro barrera 5, samuel f@cking vargas 4. spence actually only got the lead vs brook in like the 9th or 10th . in rounds it was like 5-5/6-4

ocampo was the first guy spence stopped within 3 since he fought phil lo greco 3 years ago, and we saw how khan stopped lo greco in like a minute. horn as limited as he is is way better then phil lo greco.

i dont really feel crawfords overrated. hes very very good, just as is spence. crawford would rout guys like van heerden, barrera, ocampo, peterson etc. he already bashed up, won every round, and stopped felix diaz, who was virtually even with peterson. besides, they have different styles, spence goes out looking to do damage and crawford is more patient and waiting to counter. you cant just judge in terms of how long to stop opponents

both guys are p4p elite and better then the likes of ggg but i actually see ppl starrting to say spence is pretty much invincble though and beyond even being troubled. i feel if anyones overrated between spence and crawford its probably spence. he fought one a level welter and was given a very competitive fight where he came from behind in the second half. hes excellent but not so good that he will just crush everyone w/o issue. crawford has tools to match or outdo brook.

Spence seems to have options to remain at 147 for a while.

Probably Alexander or Berto in the fall. Maybe even Ortiz is in the mix (a name latino and more entertaining than Berto or Alexander).

Of course Garcia or Porter. Or maybe both.

And Crawford has to be there too, even if it's not until 2020.

Spence's card may be full at 147 for a while.

But Thurman really has no real opponents lined up, especially since he threw the belt away.

Now's the time for him to escape the welters and avoid Spence.

Thurman has a large upper body frame and would be comfortable at the higher weight.

Eventually Spence will make the move to super welter. If Thurman's still interested in boxing, he'll probably move to up middleweight when that happens.

Thurmans moving style could do well at 154 in some matchups but I think it's clear he's lost the hunger required to be a top fighter. There was a time he would be getting in Spences face but now it's all he can do to avoid Spence. I'm sure getting married and getting into that spiritual stuff didn't help. Guy is probably p*ssywhipped and being told to stop fighting. It's too much of a coincidence that he gets hurt badly by body shots and almost done by Collazo to the body and then he shamelessly avoids the best body puncher in the game. He wants no part of Spence. As for Spence, the Garcia Porter winner is a big fight as is Crawford. Ortiz would be another blowout.
