really excited about ritson, ya he looks a bit reckless but hes fun as f@ck to watch. that said i would be really interested in him facing a guy with some power. look at the guys hes looked the biz against

opponents on ritsons beast run:

robbie barret 1 ko in 20 fights
paul hyland jr 7 ko in 19 fights
scott cardle 7 ko in 25 fights
joe murray 10 ko in 26 fights


would be interessting to see him in with someone with some pop, to see if they can make him go 'oh shit' and how he reacts to that. or if he can walk through it still

that or a guy with proven durability at a higher level. to see if he can take the power up a level, or how he deals with a euro level guy who is still there second half

Very reckless and wide open when going in for the finish,tagged a few times too,but very aggressive and exciting.

See an interview with Burns yesterday where he said he was planning to fight on at lightweight, meaning he wont be fighting Taylor any time soon, which makes Ritson vs Burns a possibility.

That may be a fight to consider, Burns may be past his best but should still be tough and savvy enough to take Ritaon late.

He is young enough that he doesn't need to be rushed and has time to learn a thing or two before entering the deep end.

Think it'd come down to logistics and would Matchroom be willing to pay Burns enough to take it? And perhaps Hearn would rather Ritson take another couple fights first before taking a gamble against an opponent as seasoned as Burns. Its certainly an interesting fight.

The power he is displaying is quite new found. I've had quite a keen eye on him as he's a local lad and he never used to blast people out. He was quite a upright sort of fighter who really worked behind a good jab. I think he does have quite good fundamentals which will hopefully stand him in good stead once he stops blasting people out in a couple of rounds.

I think the Barrett was a turning point where he suddenly realized what he could do. Hope he goes far - British Lightweights have been really stacked domestically for a good few years and Lewis is right up there with them all.

Yes it'd be a sad end to what has been an outstanding career.....but if he keeps fighting then that's likely to happen sooner or later. Not really sure what Burn's end goal is at this point.
