Perhaps. The question is, to address your previous post as well, what version of Fury is knocking around. The last one was dismal.jamesmcdonnell wrote: ↑18 Jun 2018, 14:49No, but I'm sure Bellew won't be his next fight, and Cunningham from memory was more of a puncher than Bellew.dirk2686 wrote: ↑18 Jun 2018, 14:30Bellew isn't that different in size to Steve Cunningham who had Fury in all sorts of bother in the days before Tyson knuckled down and worked on his defence/started eating a whole uncastrated boar every week.keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑18 Jun 2018, 14:22Bellew really fancies it, despite the height difference. I think it'd be a decent enough scrap because I really don't think Fury will ever be in the kind of shape he was in for Klitschko ever again.
Given how dire Fury looked last time you'd not be backing him with much confidence.

Yeah, it's more than possible he never gets even close to being in decent shape again. I mean he's not exactly the most motivated or consistent of athletes.dirk2686 wrote: ↑18 Jun 2018, 14:56Perhaps. Bellew's about 3" taller than Sef and a lot more talented. He wouldn't just keeping winging ineffective overhands all night. He's also about the same weight (albeit less cut), with similar power.
The problem for Bellew is that Fury'd lean on him constantly, as he did Cunningham, and Bellew's not Mr Engine.

Saw an interview today and he said he put away several bottles of wine at the weekend! Never know whether to take him serious or not but he sounded serious.jamesmcdonnell wrote: ↑18 Jun 2018, 15:00Yeah, it's more than possible he never gets even close to being in decent shape again. No, but I'm sure Bellew won't be his next fight, and Cunningham from memory was more of a puncher than Bellew.
Re: Tyson Fury next fight 18th August
Probably Evgeny Orlov or someone of that level...
Re: Tyson Fury next fight 18th August
There's no way it will be Price next. Warren and Fury himself both know he's a fair bit away from being match fit.
There's no rush. The mistake was headlining the comeback fight and hyping it so much. If it had been tucked into the undercard less people would have complained. At least the next one is going to be on the undercard.

I agree, but if it was all about the money, Belew would be calling out AJ.jamesmcdonnell wrote: ↑18 Jun 2018, 14:47Bellew fancies the payday I'm sure, but there's a big difference between fighting a shot to bits haye and Fury.,keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑18 Jun 2018, 14:22Bellew really fancies it, despite the height difference. I think a fight with Bellew is ludicrous personally, the size and weight difference would be enormous.
Re: Tyson Fury next fight 18th August
Well that's that. Here's a photo of Fury sizing up to his opponent.
Re: Tyson Fury next fight 18th August
It won't be a good opponent, let's be honest.
I wouldn't even bet money on it being a heavyweight.

Like Joshua is going to fight Bellew.keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑18 Jun 2018, 18:54 I agree, but if it was all about the money, Belew would be calling out AJ.
No point Bellew calling him out. Tony could run over Joshua's cat, he still wouldn't goad him into a fight.

You guys are going to have Team Fury salivating.

Looks a bit on the big side.

Fury does crack me up. Talking to Wilder he said "You big lanky, skinny-legged dosser, you chinless bum. I’ll put my fist right through you.”

I like Fury he's good for the game, but talking that kind of bollox to the champs and then fight cruiser weights not even in the top 50 just looks daft.Taansend wrote: ↑21 Jun 2018, 14:20 Fury does crack me up. I'm not worried about his first fight back. I don't mind three crap opponents this year. As long as he steps it up next year.Nightmare Roy wrote: ↑21 Jun 2018, 14:39I like Fury he's good for the game, but talking that kind of bollox to the champs and then fight cruiser weights not even in the top 50 just looks daft.Taansend wrote: ↑21 Jun 2018, 14:20 Fury does crack me up. Maybe Richard Towers would make a comeback? Bunny Johnson is only 55. Jamie Speight has only lost 14 since he won the Southern Area Super Feather title.

Re: Tyson Fury next fight 18th August
Stylistically, I think Wilder is a nightmare for Fury and will knock Tyson out. A fully fit, motivated and tactically astute Fury will beat Joshua. I have grave reservations about Fury's new trainer. What's he going to say to Tyson between rounds when the fight is in deep water? I'm not sure if he's ever going to shift all the extra fat he's carrying.Taansend wrote: ↑21 Jun 2018, 14:20 Fury does crack me up. Re: Tyson Fury next fight 18th August
I agree that Wilder is almost certain to beat him, because his "Don't give a fornicate" attitude means he'll definitely get through and land at some point. Either Wilder or AJ catch Fury right and he's definitely out. AJ might be possible to shut out with another zero punch shimmy and feint fest. We don't yet know how AJ will respond to being outboxed. We do know how he handles being chinned though, and it's generally pretty good. I fancy either of them to beat any Fury that's likely to turn up in the ring from now on.

The trouble is, Fury is actually a pretty boring safety first fighter. All his big talk of chinning people is just that, talk.Nightmare Roy wrote: ↑21 Jun 2018, 14:39I like Fury he's good for the game, but talking that kind of bollox to the champs and then fight cruiser weights not even in the top 50 just looks daft.Taansend wrote: ↑21 Jun 2018, 14:20 Fury does crack me up.
