Purses and attendance for allegedly's show at the O2 Arena on Saturday

Post by biglefthook »

I expect allegedly Show on saturday will have 6-7 thousand there maximum

Without getting shown live on BT Sports I I wonder what the purses will be for the promoter and managers mtk to make a profit

I was told by someone in the game that's Martin Murray will be receiving £220,000 the same pay day he was getting against Billy Joe Saunders

Daniel Dubois £60,000

Ohara davis £100,000

I don't know about anyone else but this is my contact in the boxing game that has told me this

But I am really intrigued to see what the final attendance is

Not a chance they get that pay, neither are worth that and i can't see Wazza having any sympathy with Murray and paying him that amount.

100k for Davis? Can't see that mate, hope they are right though, I'm all for fighters doing well, especially when we have footballers over here getting half a fcuking million pounds a week! :brick:

When boxing starts bringing in the billions of pounds like football then maybe fighters will be getting paid more.

Let's face it, footballers get more money because that sport is followed world wide with world wide TV rights and to watch the top games you don't pay for individual matches.

Sky sports @ £20 a month will get you 6/7 games plus all the other sport.

You'd be lucky to get 6/7 decent cards a year across the board.

Your "contact" is talking out of his arse, no chance Fwank is paying anything close to those amounts.

If Ohara is getting 100g (which I would seriously doubt knowing past purses for British title fights against warren fighters ) then he is officially the Adrian Broner of British Boxing.

its not like hes a huge name , he took an absolute pasting of Josh Taylor also so would take a lot of convincing people that hes the real deal to warrant that kind of investment.

the only one that looks believable is DDD, where Frank may be paying a premium in the hope that he has a future heavyweight star on his hands.

If Ohara is getting 100k that has to be the best deal ever. i would suggest 20k max.

I think the figures quoted at the beginning of this topic are hugely inaccurate.

Martin Murray was only just interviewed on IFLtv in the past day or so and he commented that he was getting buttons for fighting Saunders. No way is £220,000.00 considered buttons by Murray and he isnt going to be getting an increase purse against in a lesser fight.

Nowhere near correct. Murray on about 60-70k for fighting Saunders. No way does he command six figure purses. Likewise, Ohara cleared 130k for Taylor I think, not a chance he was getting 100k for the Leather fight, in all seriousness, I'd say he'd of been on around 30k perhaps. Dubois' purses will be inflated but again, nowhere near 60k.

Will be similar or less than the Buglioni headlined card matchroom put on.

Poor card. I'll watch World Cup instead and watch a recording if I hear a fight is any good.

If you halve Ohara's purse and then some you might be nearer the mark.
