Favourite Eubank Moment

Post by Taansend »

Love him or hate him what is your favourite Eubank moment (any Eubank  )

I have loads but after he knocked out Dos Santos with his first punch the camera was on the stricken Brazilian then suddenly panned to Eubank doing his Evil War Lord pose

When he fought in Germany I think it was, the home fans were spitting and saying racist shit, he just walked in with his posing style, with a look that said, "I'm not scared of any of you pudenda"

I was no fan of Eubank, and grew very tired very quickly of the corrupt scorecards which robbed his opponents because the WBO wanted a visible champion. However, going over to Germany and DESERVEDLY beating Rocky is such an underrated win.

It was a very good win,Rocky was 35-0 at the time, probably one of his best displays.

Definitely. True we could analyse Rocky post Eubank and seriously question how good he was. He was certainly no Henry Maske. Still, I don't remember too many people thinking Eubank was going to beat him at the time so i would put that as his second best win.

a lot of people felt Rocky beat Maske in their first bout

Eubank was in many close fights. I had him beating Close twice (the second is an outstanding battle) but losing to Benn in the rematch. He was terrible in the first Watson & clearly lost. He was phenomenal against Carl Thompson and I had him winning. Not seen the Scwommer fight, which he has admitted he was lucky to win.

I remember when Benn and Eubank were on a show with Jonathan Ross, one of the big name yanks was on a live screen,I'm sure it was james Toney but I could be wrong,he was giving it the big un and insulting both Benn and Eubank,Benn was biting like fcuk Eubank just turned away from screen and said hes not talking to him as he insulted his mother,or something like that 😀

Letting Thompson off the hook, followed by his entrance against Rocky. It would be that uppercut if not for its outcome.

Yeah then Toney sold himself short in a miserable effort vs Roy Jones Jr

Yeah there’s no way Eubank would’ve fought Nelson. Nelson far too tall and elusive. I imagine the first four rounds would’ve been dreadful, with neither willing to commit to an attack. If Eubank had received the decision versus Thompson, he would’ve likely had an immediate rematch - Money talks - and been stopped with the bad eye anyway.
