Will Mikey Garcia face Errol Spence in December 2018 ?

Mikey are talking (again) about fight against Errol Spence in December, this year.
Do you believe this fight will happen ?
Personally, I think it would be a great mistake. The both fighters are top class (for me among the top ten pfp, undoubtedly) but Spence is much, much bigger and he would destroy Garcia. Mikey should stay at 135, perhaps at 140. He is to tiny for WW.

I agree with every word and I very much hope it doesn't happen. Does that mean it won't? Not necessarily so because I haven't a clue I haven't voted.

I think he'll wait around for Lomachenko.

If he gets beat up by Spence it takes much of the glitter off an anticipated Lomachenko showdown.

Would the money be much greater for a Spence fight compared to a bout with Lomachenko?

I don't think so. And Garcia is very competitive, maybe even the winner versus Lomachenko.

Spence breaks him down and stops him.

If Mikey Garcia steps into the ring with Spence Jr, he's got bigger balls than an Argentinosaurus.

Mikey is a great fighter, but he's not big enough to compete with a great WW like Spence Jr.

Spence Jr is just as great as he is, but much bigger & that usually only produces one result.

Sorry Mikey...Spence is too big and too fast for you to have a realistic chance of beating him!! 140 pounds should be your upper limit.

I think he's just putting his name in the same sentence of who's perceived to be the next PPV star in boxing. That's as Errol would put it, on his side of the street.

After all the smoke clears at 135, nothing really there at 140. He might want to make a visit to 147 and why tread those waters when you can be one and done for all the marbles and biggest check.

The fight will already have been brewing by then.

Til then, it's just publicity.
