Has Channel 5 shown Audley Harrison vs Guinn yet ?

With this fight being an ESPN main event I thought that it was going to be shown last Friday but they showed something else instead. Does anybody know if it's been shown, or if it's going to be shown ? Me and my dad want a right good laugh, it's the only reason I'm asking

Last Friday's showing was a repeat, the IBF featherweight title bout 1st show earlier in the year. I heard somewhere that ITV might actually be showing it at some point but that could have been total bollocks ?!?!

Well I dont mean to diminish his character or anything ( wouldn't wanna get done for libel now would I ;) ) but it wouldn't suprise me If Mr Warren put a clip of the fight on his site, or maybe even ITV.

They are showing, Derek Bryant V Taurus Sykes. This was on ESPN last Friday (21st)

Cintron V Estrada was on the Wednesday (19th)

Hope they show that too, this HW fight was a strange one mind.

No joke - oh, hang on we're talking about Audley right? yeah he's a joke!

Channel 5 did announce last week that they would be showing Audley's fight the following week - but didn't show it. Considering it was such an awful fight we can't be too surprised they chose not to show it.

Thanks for that. They didn't show it last night, it was Derek Bryant vs Taurus Sykes, with 3 undercard bouts also shown. I know that Audley's fight sucked but his fights have been dreadful, by and large, since his pro debut and I wouldn't have thought that Channel 5 would have decided not to show it just because it was a bad fight, it's a post-midnight slot that doesn't get many viewers anyway and other channels (ie, Eurosport) regularly show boxing fights on a delayed basis, that absolutely sucked.

The ESPN shows are quite regular now and if this one has fallen by the wayside, chances are it won't get shown as next Friday's show, and every subsequent one, will have new fights on them.

I just want to laugh my head off at Audley, that's all !

I would imagine that another TV company (i.e. ITV or Sky) have bought the rights to the show in advance and have decided not to show it.

Hasn't some of Audley's other stateside fights been ESPN shows, but broadcast on the BBC or Sky.

But surely the joke ends up being on you when you have to sit through 45 minutes of shite? ;)

You can laugh at him without enduring the fight. I have no desire at all to see it. I'd rather poke myself in the eye with a fork.

audley on itv arthur bill. i dont know wether to pray for 2 12 rounders and not show it of 2 quick fights and for them to show it and everyone to turn it off.

Mercifully they only showed very brief highlights before interviewing McGuigan and Warren about Harrison.

Interesting that McGuigan thought Audley still had the chance to win a title, while Warren hinted at a fight between Harrison and the loser of Skelton vs Williams.

Probably linked? If Warren is interested in working with Aud again, ITV are not going to say he is done.

Only breif highlights, but he looked worse than vs Williams, his hand speed didn't seem as good as before.... Guinn looked pretty awful aswell.

Audley just made a tool of himself judging by those highlights, standing, dancing and waving his arms, can't this overweight buffoon Box or what? Watching his 18 stone frame shaking and showboating isn't clever it's nauseating, if he has enough energy to pratt about then maybe he could conserve it to throwing more punches. Outboxed again, out thought, out punched...all adds up to another loss. Thinking logically he should fade into oblivion with the other pretenders and under achievers but in reality he will probably end up with a world title shot after this latest debacle.

I was quite shocked Barry McGuigan still seemed to think that Audley Harrison still has a shot at winning a world title.

Harrison needs to make so many changes even in this weak Heavyweight era to stand a chance of picking up a title and I just can't see it happening at his age.

Shocking article.

My favourite was this little nugget.

Audley Harrison, 34, burst on the boxing world in at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, winning a Gold metal in the Super Heavyweight class. He showed the entire heavyweight package, knocking out Robert Wiggins in the 4th round on August 18, 2005. At that point in Audley's career, if asked, most people would have said that Audley was a better fighter than Wladimir Klitschko by far.
