Started nodding off during the Murray fight so switched over to C5 and watching this beauty of a fight.

Is martin murray the most boring british fighter? I cant watch him any more,no wonder hearn ditched him lol

yarde for all the muscle boundness has really smooth and relaxed looking punches, not at all the stiff upright guy a lot of the muscley/late starters are. really nice work mixing the shots up and down. full range of punches on him.

last two guys have been fringe euro level, and before that he fought a guy whod drawn for the euro title right before. would like to see him in with the euro champ next or someone around that level. dont get the obsession with him having to fight domestic guys, setting aside nationality a guy like hosea burtons (who ppl called for yarde to fight) really done f all to distisguish himself as superior from the last several guys yardes beaten up

and lmao at some of the past talk of buglioni being too clever for him...thats what we call reaching

good for dubois to at least get some rounds in tonight, finally went longer then an amateur contest. little offered very little offensively but dubois had to work more then he usually does as he wasnt facing a total glass chin/tiny guy like is often the case. showed some body work too and not just a head hunting fest.

on another note his previous opponent dl jones got kod in a minute tonight by martin illunga. illunga did akinlade in one round too,

But for anyone who does and actually watched the Murray fight last night instead of switching over to Taylor - how did he perform? Would he have had any chance of beating Saunders based on yesterday?

Good win for Murray, he did seem to fade in the later rounds and the ref didn't help by letting Garcia away with repeated low blows, Murray seemed to let it effect him and he was disrupted from his gameplan and it allowed Garcia to finish stronger, I wasn't expecting fireworks in this fight but I did think Murray boxed well for the most part, used the ring well, let his hands go then spun out of trouble to set up the next attack, he couldn't hurt Garcia but he did dig in some nice left hands to the body which was his best punch of the night

Garcia for his part took too long to get going, was always in range but didn't pull the trigger often enough and it allowed Murray to poke away and pile up points, the ref had a bit of a mare and even if he was maybe quick to take the first point off, there was no doubt Garcia landed low blows all night and TBH by the end was lucky to make the distance, i'd have chucked him out

Good win for Murray but scores a bit wide I had it 115-111, after all he's been through its good to see him get the win and move on

Yeah it makes absolutely no sense to move them straightaway - if it’s such a big deal to have them here, move it on fight night and let everyone know to post in this forum. Moving the thread immediately after the fight just completely kills the conversation.
