Post by biglefthook »

Reported that there was 3200 tickets sold

My brother-in-law was there tonight and he was bumped up to ring side just to make it look like it was full for TV

He said these was 3500 people in there maximum

Is that such a bad figure for an event where the main event has fallen apart and you’re left with a guy from the North of England fighting a guy nobody has ever heard of ?

Imagine how bad it would have been if Saunders had fought then

As the main thread for yesterday’s BN card has unfortunately been moved to the RBR section where no-one goes, I’ll also put my question on here.

For those who did watch the Murray fight, how did he look and do you think he’d have had a chance of beating Saunders based on last night’s performance?

Saunders Vs Murray isn't an O2 event. Copperbox at best.

Standard Murray fare .
Pretty boring to watch , never seems to carry much power.
Looking a bit old in there .
Not a chance against Saunders

Waaren has booked the O2 for Saunders again in September. He doesn’t even sell top tier tickets i bet. He should go back to using the Copperbox or Excel arena

I’m not sure what that’s got to do with last night’s show. Neither last night’s show or Buglioni v Summers were O2 worthy shows.

It really demonstrates for me how poorly they’ve failed to capitalise on BJS’s win against Lemieux. I know BJS didn’t fight last night but considering there was only c. 3,000 there last night, if BJS was still on the card there would have, at most 5,000 there.

What does that have to do with the price of chips.

All it proves is that 2 promotors booked venues far to large for the event.

I'm not sure it is important to the forum. But it's certainly a valid topic for discussion. This forum discusses all matters boxing including the business side of things as well as the promotion of shows (or lack of). All quite reasonable and obvious really.

And since there’s so much speculation about the future of B0xnati0n, I’d say threads like these are even more relevant than usual.

The price of a pint in these places is also worth noting.

Why is any of it important? We're discussing something we watch on TV as a hobby?

Should we only discuss something, if it'll directly affect your viewing?

Weirdly but maybe it is to do with
the atmosphere but the lack of attendance did affect my viewing. I always seem to enjoy it a little more when there is a full house and the crowd are heavily invested, German and UK cards have a different feel to them.
