Martin Bakole... any good?

Post by James9753 »

Desperate to fight the big names and claims to have had the upper hand against Dubois in sparring.

How would he do against someone like a Lenroy Thomas, Izu Ugonah, Fred Kassi type fighter?

I thought he looked pretty impressive in destroying Akinlade. I regard him and Efe Ajagba as the two best heavyweight prospects from Africa. I would favour him to beat Kassi and Thomas right now. Izu Ugonoh might be a little ambitious at this stage but Ilunga appears to have plenty of potential.

He is certainly one I'll be keeping an eye on.

I didn't know what you were talking about but I sure do now:

In his last 7 fights he's weighed as little as 229 and as much as 270 fluctuating wildly. Loss and gains as follows ... - 12lbs, + 23 lbs, -6 lbs. + 1 lb, + 3 lbs, - 3 lbs, + 23 lbs

As you rightly say "What is going on?" Whatever the explanation this cannot be a good thing.

i will say though, gorman and esp dubois get a lot more hype, but hes got a better record then dubos (who tko jones in 3) and similar though not quite as good to gorman (though he did blast out only guy to take gorman 10). worth keeping an eye on as a prospect i figure

Looks like he could get right in to the mix along with Gorman, Dubois, Joyce etc... Some good fights domestically there for him. Billy Nelsons been singing his praises and has high hopes for him. Was impressed with him at the weekend. Nice check hook to floor Jones :TU:
