Anthony Joshua vs. Alexander Povetkin - 22 September 2018
Likely next. Losing the WBA title is not an option.
Will be the first main event for DAZN in the US.

So Joshua and Wilder had come to an agreement and then they didn't?

I've always rooted for Povetkin. It's probably his last chance to win an actual World title. I hope, the fight is really on. Heart tells, he knocks Joshua out, mind tells, Joshua comfortably takes a decision. Povetkin is aging, Joshua is still likely to improve. He can establish Klitschko-like tactics and score wide decision. Maybe even a shut-out, considering regular judging of his bouts.

Seen the tweets from brendan shaub, the failed ufc fighter having a pop at AJ and hearn,i think wilders team have stopped this fight happening. I think when all this crap happens they should do the negotiations in public so we know who is shittin ther kecks and who isnt

Like every other fight in the history of professional boxing, both fighters have to agree terms or it doesn't happen. Simple really. All this talk backwards and forwards is building the fight. They will both have another fight and there will be more pre-promotion. After that, then maybe they will agree to a 2019 date....... or maybe they already have.

If it was a Fury fight there would only be the 2 of them there
Re: Anthony Joshua vs. Alexander Povetkin - 22 September 2018?
A few very low blows and a ban was certain to come,he was warned a few times over a couple of days but still couldnt help himself, should take the piss out of anyones habit or anyones kids no matter how much you dislike them
Re: Anthony Joshua vs. Alexander Povetkin - 22 September 2018?
AJ vs Povetkin is a decent enough fight. I know we would all prefer to see THE BIG FIGHT for all four belts, but seeing as Wilder is punking out it's a good backup plan to have.

Have always thought a 3rd, neutral party, should be involved. That person could then field media questions about the progress of negotiations and do it in an impartial manner.thechump wrote: ↑27 Jun 2018, 05:51Seen the tweets from brendan shaub, the failed ufc fighter having a pop at AJ and hearn,i think wilders team have stopped this fight happening. Wilder earns 2m-2.5m at present - he’s got 15m on the table - if I was him I’d be on the phone to Finkel asking what is the issue really was or is he his meal ticket.Like a Boss wrote: ↑27 Jun 2018, 22:31Have always thought a 3rd, neutral party, should be involved. Its all relative. Wilder is a multimillionaire now with more money than he can spend. The guy isnt an idiot, hes definitely doing the right things with his money. It goes the same way too. Joshua isn't making anywhere near the money he can make with Wilder either. I think its more about legacy now for both of them.
