I am used to people complaining about PPVs now and realise that no matter what some people will always ‘steal’ via streams etc but a man that isn’t willing to pay to see this contest isn’t a boxing fan.
Does anyone here think that tickets to attend the show live should be free?
Wtf? Most of us already pay for Sky Sports + B0xnati0n purely for the boxing coverage - are we supposed to be happy that we have to shell out even more for this? Or do you think that all boxing should be on PPV, and us humble fans should just be grateful, despite no other sports in the UK even doing PPV?
This x2.
I pay a small fortune for Sky AND BN/BT Sport every month. I STILL have to watch adverts EVEN during fights - when you should be getting all the extra drama/atmosphere/betting clues from the corner work. Then we have to accept that the really big fights are PPV on top of this. I CAN accept paying again for (say) AJ vs Fury @ Wembley, Canelo vs GGG - the huge stadium events between absolute top P4P stars...
BUT NOT FOR WHYTE Vs PARKER !!
This is a good fight, I wanna see it - I'm sure anyone that comes on this forum does, but its NOT PPV.
It just isn't.

Bizarre, we already do pay for our sports subscriptions ?? This isn't even a mega money fight where you feel both fighters need paying millions upon millions for it to happen.
Complete joke of a PPV fight in my opinion, will I pay for it probably but I will feel a bit ripped considering Sky Sports isn't cheap what so ever and this is an extra

Whyte vs Parker could have been a vaguely acceptable PPV with a strong undercard.
This is very poor so far.
The Benn and Buatsi fights are NextGen stuff (nothing wrong with that, if they were at York Hall on a Wednesday night).
I find it hard to get excited about any Katie Taylor fights.
Hearn said Brook's next opponent would be "somewhere inbetween Rabchenko and Hurd" - Cook is worse than Rabchenko (imo).
I'm not going to be rushing to throw a twenty at Eddie.
Completely agree. Hearn always used to say the only events that will be PPV will be the ones that can't get put together without it. Whyte and Parker probably command decent money, but I'm not having that PPV is needed to put on the other fights. As you said, not saying that Buatsi/Summers and Benn/Peynaud won't be good fights, but PPV just isn't needed.
What happened to the huge money generated by the Joshua fights being re-invested into Saturday Fight Nights? How many world title fights have we had on normal Sky Sports this year? And by that I mean Matchroom shows in the UK, not the international content.
I've bought some crap PPVs in my time but I'm not gona lower myself to this one. That undercard looks cobbled together. Lazy from Hearn, he's getting complacent methinks.
It'll probably sell out and do amazing numbers on PPV I follow Hearn/Matchroom on FB and if you read the comments it's like a cult "Thanks Eddie amazing value" "wow what a stacked card" etc etc, Thanking him for charging them a score after they allready pay £40 a month for sky sports. There are some real divs out there, for me it's a fcuking joke, I remember watching Eubank Benn and a host of other great fights for free on ITV.

I get suspicious about Facebook comments relating to big business. Especially when they slavishly endorse things no real people would. Saying that, selling so many tickets already might contradict my views. We shall have to wait and see what the numbers are for the PPV.

Cleverly-Bellew was the turning point for Hearn; it was the first PPV he put on that was frankly garbage and everyone knew it. There was zero need to make that PPV except greed. But people bought it, which opened the floodgates.
I even started a thread trying to arrange a mass boycott of Sky Sports because of it, but I think I only got about 2 replies

There is no way in the world that this card could be put on without it.
Exactly the same false argument used for Cleverly-Bellew 2 - ‘stack’ the card and then claim PPV is the only option. Completely disingenuous. The fights should simply be spread over 2 or 3 regular Saturday fight nights (which Hearn seems to be struggling to put on as it is).

It's not a false argument, it's a fact. Did you pay for Clev-Bellew 2?

No, I streamed it. I’ve bought plenty of PPVs over the years, but there was no chance of me buying that cynical cash-grab.
Meh, I'm gonna get the PPV. I've paid for lesser cards. I like at least 3 of the fights, an I've paid to watch 2 good ones on a card in the past.
You'se poms stop yer whining eh?
Ya might end up getting a reputation for it
Hearn keeps saying these fights tke mega money , so need to be ppv , Yet he still says you got to build these fighters up ,, Mmmm m thinks if he stops pissing in earholes and telling them there worth millions , then they may acept 1-200, 000 dollars instead of demanding millions ,
Thre really not that good , some will buy it , I certainly would'nt

We prefer to think of it as moaning, rather than whining.
