Interesting Gavin is now rated higher than Jamie. Props to Gavin stepping out that shadow even if it was a small 8 stone one.

If he isn't arguably the #1 SLW in the world, he is right up there now.

Needless to say, Fury shouldn’t be anywhere near this list as he hasn’t had a significant win for nearly 3 years.

It's a pretty good list these days. My only comment would be that the gap between Crolla and Burns is too wide. I think Crolla is ranked far too high and Burns a little bit low.

Other than that, I think it's a pretty good job overall

Good list Crolla a bit high for me and also 6 in the list is being a bit kind to Burnett. We've still to see the best of him against a top guy at bantam. ZZ (can't be arsed even attempting to spell that one) was a solid win but he's not had a KO in years and I find him a bit of a boring watch but that's just my personal taste. I suppose. Good to see Taylor jump up so high as well

Ah good, we haven’t had a ‘Murray is too high’ argument for a while now. Horse has a bizarrely high opinion of Murray which is shared by no-one else.

He's still the lineal champion and I'd expect that he could still beat a world class opponent even in his current state.

If he keeps fighting chumps then he will continue to drop.

If Burns had beat someone decent since the Crolla fight then the gap would be a lot smaller.

If Burns could beat someone like Coyle, Ritson etc. then I'd be looking at putting him straight back in the top 20, maybe top 15.

However, he's been pretty inactive and he just beat a guy currently ranked outside the world's top 500. I can't really move him up after a win like that.

Few years ago this top 10 would have been strong world contenders, but with Brook, Khan, Quigg Frampton etc losing British boxing on the world stage has taken a beating recently....

That's fair enough RE Burns. Crolla is too high for me. He's not exactly busy either. I understand why you've got him higher because he got the decision against Burns and had two fights with Linares before that but the reality is there's a paper thin difference between Burns and Crolla at this stage.

Burnett is perhaps on the high side. Haskins and Zhakiyanov are not the highest calibre of world level wins, but he beat them both very clearly and he did manage to unify the IBF and WBA titles in beating them.

The gap between 6th place and 14th place isn't very big and there could be a lot of changes there by the end of the year if most/all of these guys fight again.

With Taylor entering the WBSS tournament he could be in contention for the top spot if he can win it.
