Up until fairly recently the word Avatar meant the image one used to identify oneself on the internet ... whether it was an actual photo of yourself or some sort of fantasy thing ... AND ... it still means that on virtually every other internet website ...

Indeed ... even here at BoxRec ... if you go to your own profile page and click on "Edit Profile" ,,, you come to a page with a blank Avatar Image ... where (apparently) you used to be able to upload your own image ... (i.e. Avatar) ...

... (though there is also that note in question ... stating that: "The avatar functionality is currently disabled") ...

So ... my questions are ...

1) What do you mean when you say that "Avatars are disallowed in this forum, for a good reason"?

What's the "good reason"? What does that mean? ...

2) And what does "Photo has been uploaded" mean ... Why did you include a link to some fighter's page ... What does that have to do with my not being able to upload my own self-identifying Avatar ... (I mean Image) ...

I don't get it ...

Unfortunately there is bent clowns in the forum, who enjoy inserting porn image..........which is sufficient reason
How would you like me or anyone else creating dud username, inserting your photo & in time hang shite on opponents, promoters etc? I suspect, your IT knowledge is somewhat limited

I've been a member of all sorts of internet groups and forums for decades ... some rather upstanding and formal ... others rather shady ... and that has never been a problem on any of them ... ever ... even the shadiest ones ...
