As previously reported on BS.com, former World Boxing Association (WBA) super middleweight champion Fedor Chudinov will return to the ring on July 21 at Olympic Stadium in Moscow, Russia.
Chudinov will face Frenchman Najib Mohammedi, according to Vasily Konov.
On the record of the former champion, Chudinov has 17 wins (12 by knockout) with two defeats. Chudinov made a name for himself when he traveled to Germany to shock Felix Sturm for the WBA super middleweight title.
Mohammedi has a record packed with 40 victories with five defeats, and within those losses he suffered severe knockout defeats at the hands of Sergey Kovalev and Oleksandr Gvozdik, and also lost to Nathan Cleverly. He's picked up three wins in a row since suffering the back to back knockouts to Kovalev and Gvozdyk.
Also on July 21 Andrei Sirotkin will see action against Vladimir Shishkin, Konstantin Ponomarev (light welterweight) will fight with Sergei Vorobyov (all - Russian scrap). Former WBC champion in the cruiserweight division, Latvian Marius Briedis will meet with Frenchman Brandon Delormier. Russian boxer Inna Sagaidakovskaya will fight with the absolute world champion at welterweight, Cecilia Brekhus from Norway. The opponent for lightweight contender Denis Shafikov will be determined later.

that's interesting there was rumours a few weeks ago that he was entering the wbss tournament that has not been announced yet

Wow, I had no idea Mohammedi moved down. Instantly thought this would be at LHW. Anyways, it's a 50-50 fight.
Wonder how well Mohammedi will do at SMW. It's an exponentially weaker division than LHW. He could make some big moves for sure.
