Jacobs vs Derevo goes to a purse bid

LOL. The two guys share the same manager, and they can't agree on terms? And Golovkin was supposed to quickly agree on terms with Derevo for the May 5th fight? Motherf*ckers from IBF should be proud of themselves.

Solid fight if it happens. Derevo is crafty and has a good all round skillset. Jacobs is far more experienced as a pro and the bigger man - he’s also crafty himself.

Tell us your ggg story please so we can all understand. You were waiting for his autograph with your dad. He snubbed you didn’t he? Sometimes our hero’s let us down - they are not who we thought they were. But have you considered that maybe there was something else going on? A security threat? Maybe he had already signed hundreds of autograph books and women’s chests that day. Those torn up golovkin posters that once hung proudly in your room - your dad still has them you know, they can be salvaged. Your dads knows, once a golovkin fan, always a golovkin fan.

I have no doubt you see it like that - personally I think you’re quite biased.

So what you’re basically saying is this…

Two separate promoters that represent both camps (Lou DiBella and Eddie Hearn) are unable to reach an agreement in regards to the promotion of the event, but you’re going to blame Derevyanchenko anyway, since it fulfils your agenda for justifying the fact that Tom Loeffler never made any attempt to negotiate a fight with the Ukraine, despite having more than nine weeks to do so?

Let’s be clear, you don’t actually know the true cause for their inability to agree terms, do you? And nor do you understand for certain whether the demands of the fighters’, which are being dealt with by Keith Connolly, are the true cause for the fight going to purse bids.

I’m right aren’t I? That’s basically the point you’re making! You’re basically pretending that a situation exists and are desperately hoping for the best that people don’t expose your dishonesty.

Look… If you’re able to support your claims and demonstrate your superior knowledge of the situation, by supplying evidence, then I’ll apologise, but based on your track record… but you won’t be able to do that, will you?

You once criticised me for supplying news and then providing my personal opinion of the situation, but it seems that you don’t really mind being a hypocrite, since you're doing precisely the same thing! Double-standards?

A chance for Jacobs to fight for a vacant title.

Jacobs isn’t getting GGG, Alvarez, BJS this year. Unless it’s December.

He should move on.

Can you imagine two different promoters of two Haymon fighters not being able to agree if Haymon and both fighters wanted the fight? Promoters can't make a fight if one or both fighters want too much. Fighters sharing the same manager should easily iron out their differences if they do want to fight.

It is difficult to negotiate fights where the guy who is the bigger draw is lower ranked and it is a mandatory.

Derev probably wants a purse bid because that is where he will make the biggest percentage. Jacobs has no interest in getting less than or equal to Derev because he is the bigger draw. He is most likely negotiating for something like 60 or 70 % in his favor. So the negotiations go no where. It wouldn't surprise me if this fight didn't materialize.

Aren't these two sparring partners with the same trainer in Rozier? Unless one of them split, kind of an odd situation.

I assume then Derevyanchenko will be assigned the Euro trainer in the camp.

Man, he would do well with Roach.

Agree with you there. Offensive combos and circling out. Rinse and repeat. Total style cohesion.

He needs to at least change the gym and prepare some surprise for Danny.
