Jamie Moore - Boxing Trainer
Jamie Moore - Boxing Trainer
Loved watching him as a fighter & I'm well chuffed that he's recently doing so well as a trainer.
I have to admit, given his style, I didn't see it coming but in reality how many of the top technical boxers go on to be top trainers.
I suppose it's the less technical blokes who rely more on heart & will who pick up more going in against the boxers with more technical ability.
Who is Moore currently training?

Loved him as a fighter as well. Exciting come forward style and always very intense. Comes across a sound guy as well. Always enjoyed his punditry when he was on Sky
He's training Tommy Coyle, Fielding, Murray, Frampton... Might be missing one or two

Maybe by himself as he chose to go to the trenches more often than not.Counter-puncher wrote: ↑15 Jul 2018, 12:09I think Moores technique and ringcraft are/were much underratedTaansend wrote: ↑15 Jul 2018, 11:31 Loved watching him as a fighter & I'm well chuffed that he's recently doing so well as a trainer.

A lot of the time yes but say in the performance against Macklin, it was like a Watson-Benn style display of smart tuck up and counter box-fighting, and when he went on that European run of 3 or 4 fights he broke his men down with very educated pressure.
I'd say the idea of him being aggression over technique stems from his early wars, later in his career I don't think he was like that.

True of many boxes although some go the other way. I saw Steve Collins box on a Benn undercard and he was very dull and stand up 1-2 style.Counter-puncher wrote: ↑15 Jul 2018, 13:09Taansend wrote: ↑15 Jul 2018, 12:12Maybe by himself as he chose to go to the trenches more often than not.Counter-puncher wrote: ↑15 Jul 2018, 12:09

I get what you're saying. He wasn't brainless - and I'm not saying that either - but he seems to be a more measured coach than a boxer

If he is on 10% of the purses he will be earning more now than when he fought
