Unbelievable isn't it?
That is probably one of the worst things about boxing.
Almost anyone could have been a professional boxer had they chosen to be. Obviously that isn't the case with basketball, baseball, football, hockey, tennis, soccer etc.
Probably the majority of boxers never won more than a few fights. There are countless who never won one.
This is why win/loss records by themselves are almost meaningless. You can always find a weak opponent to beat. You can't do this in most other sports. Of course many people don't understand this.
And of course, people who have no business being in the ring get hurt badly.
