Wilder is incomparably better behaved than Tyson was. Sure he acts like a loud jerk but that's the fashion in US boxing. Sure i complain about his crooked win over Ortiz, but again that's US boxing.

Id like boxing to be a moron free zone too, but aside from notable anomalies, it doesn't tend to recruit its participants and behind the scenes controllers and peripheral characters from the Mensa society. I'd like boxing forums to be moron free zones too, but likewise.

On the positive side, there are some very smart, humble, and very helpful boxers.
Boxers that conduct themselves like true champions. Guys who use their fame and money for the greater good.
Either by giving back to the sport, or working within charities.
There are boxers who have used their money for higher education.
Unfortunately the dipsticks with the biggest mouths usually drown out the quiet achievers in the press, so we don't often get to hear of all the good works being done by the true gentlemen of the sport.

seems like a culture thing, in us and increasingly uk 'beef' and big talk is strategically used a lot to generate hype, more so then in east europe or asian boxing. plus language barriers mean guys from those areas arent really doing as much big talk that we can understand in english media

since blacks make up such a high portion of us boxers and there are so many good black boxers , theres naturally, gonna be plenty of black talkers we see. theres hardly any notable white us boxers so we dont really hear from them. vinny paz was one and he just got arrested

Actually, when i was a kid my left hand would sometines get in a fight with my right hand. Lefty was pretty slick, but Righty had the KO punch. I was the referee and i ran an honest show, not like Las Vegas or New York. My hands rarely fight anymore, though. They're more mature now. I wish i could say that about my feet.
