These fights probably make more sense, I was just thinking of ways they could save the card from becoming a complete dud.

Dillian Whyte vs Joseph Parker
Dereck Chisora vs Carlos Takam
Katie Taylor vs Kimberly Connor (WBA/IBF)
Joshua Buatsi vs TBA
Anthony Fowler vs Craig O'Brien
Conor Benn vs Cedrick Peynaud
That is an absolutely woeful PPV card. We're 10 days away and no big fights are looking likely. Kugan did a half hour interview with him the other day with hardly a mention of what he had planned for it, which would suggest very little.
I think it's genuinely worse than Bellew-Cleverly 2. I didn't think we'd see him put a worse show than that on PPV but he's about to. For comparison:
Tony Bellew vs Nathan Cleverly
Scott Quigg vs Hidenori Otake (WBA)
Jamie McDonnell vs Javier Nicholas Chacon (WBA)
James DeGale vs Marco Antonio Periban
Callum Smith vs Nikolaj Sjekloca
George Groves vs Denis Douglin
Anthony Joshua vs Michael Sprott
I'd probably give Whyte/Parker the edge in terms of the main event, especially with hindsight telling us Clev was never a Cruiser. Chisora/Takam is probably more of a 50/50 than any of the Bellew/Clev undercard. After that though, although the latter consists mainly of mismatches, at least they're at a decent level i.e. European and above. The only other fights next week are Katie Taylor (no interest in that personally) and prospects, one of which doesn't even have an opponent.

On Buatsi though, Eddie told Kugan that they were waiting on a VISA for an opponent. Former European champion and former world title challenger apparently. Russian.
I think the only one who would fit the bill would be Igor Mikhalkin. European champion between 2014 and 2016. Stopped in 7 by Kovalev in March. Standout win is beating Thomas Oosthuizen last year. Credit where it's due, that'd be a hell of a step up for Buatsi in his 7th fight considering he hasn't even fought at English level yet.

Is Bob Ajisafe still fighting? Would like to see him get back amongst this lot. be a cracking test for Buatsi at this point... any of them for that matter Yarde, Johnson, Burton. Could still see him beating a tough night for any of them if he's still active. Very unlucky to get beat of Bellew I thought, beat McKenzie, schooled Dickinson lost a crap decision in Russia.

Funnily enough I’ve been speaking to Bob over the last couple of days.Bigdogsnose wrote: ↑18 Jul 2018, 04:50 Is Bob Ajisafe still fighting? Looking to get out again soon.
Can’t think of a more avoided British fighter over the last couple of years. Don’t even hear Yarde/Johnson/Burton/Buglioni mention him in interviews let alone fight him.
I’d give him a chance against all of them.
I would love it if the BBBoC made him mandatory.

Cheers for the info. Hope he does, he needs to stay active but if he does he's more than a test for anyone. Very slick boxer.PredatorHayds wrote: ↑26 Jul 2018, 11:46Funnily enough I’ve been speaking to Bob over the last couple of days.Bigdogsnose wrote: ↑18 Jul 2018, 04:50 Is Bob Ajisafe still fighting? Fighting some Latvian diddy now! Hearn has to get his finger out and put some more effort in to Buatsi's development. He's a talent and isn't being brought on like he should be.

Buatsi looked totally pissed off at the weigh in.Cant blame him.
Must get a big fight next.
