Re: Tony Bellew -His first BBC Sports Column
Decent read.
Re: Tony Bellew -His first BBC Sports Column
He's certainly utilising his potential. You have to admire that.

Re: Tony Bellew -His first BBC Sports Column
decent read but I don't for one minute believe that the winner of gassiev usyk is the fight he would choose in a heartbeat. The winner of that fight would muller him
Re: Tony Bellew -His first BBC Sports Column
He said if all the fights offered the same money that's the fight he'd choose. I agree though, I doubt that would be his first choice.Bigdogsnose wrote: ↑18 Jul 2018, 07:18 decent read but I don't for one minute believe that the winner of gassiev usyk is the fight he would choose in a heartbeat. At first I wasn't going to click on the link.Bigdogsnose wrote: ↑18 Jul 2018, 07:18 decent read but I don't for one minute believe that the winner of gassiev usyk is the fight he would choose in a heartbeat. The winner of that fight would muller him
Then somebody said it was a decent read, so I was tempted.
Then I read the above - and have decided I was right at first.
Re: Tony Bellew -His first BBC Sports Column
But the point is, they are not, so he’s clearly never going to take the fight. If I could earn the same money as I do now for selling ice creams, I’d do that.....Stuarty wrote: ↑18 Jul 2018, 07:20He said if all the fights offered the same money that's the fight he'd choose. I love the way he goes on like Fury is an easy fight, the ice cream in your scenario. He will get his head punched in.Loynesy wrote: ↑18 Jul 2018, 09:06But the point is, they are not, so he’s clearly never going to take the fight. Yeah i got his drift. Makes it even worse. Like if it wasn't for the damn politics he'd jump at the chance. Bellew is what he is thou, he'll talk himself into another big pay day.Stuarty wrote: ↑18 Jul 2018, 07:20He said if all the fights offered the same money that's the fight he'd choose. He'd have struggled with most of the original 8 man line up. Cruiserweight is deep at the moment.leejonesjnr wrote: ↑18 Jul 2018, 09:16Bigdogsnose wrote: ↑18 Jul 2018, 07:18 decent read but I don't for one minute believe that the winner of gassiev usyk is the fight he would choose in a heartbeat. Re: Tony Bellew -His first BBC Sports Column
Yeah I agree. He doesn't want any part of Usyk or Gassiev. The only fight I can see him taking on realistically is Fury but I can't see that happening,Loynesy wrote: ↑18 Jul 2018, 09:06But the point is, they are not, so he’s clearly never going to take the fight. Re: Tony Bellew -His first BBC Sports Column
I don’t really dig his column. Without wanting to be mean about the guy, he’s more interesting in the ring than outside it. I‘ll finish on a more positive note - Bellew‘s a great fighter.
Re: Tony Bellew -His first BBC Sports Column
i still hope hell fight the winner, go for it man, be great! undisputed world champ! bring that fight to the uk and get a crazy atmosphere going.

We had the ice cream wars over here in the 80s. There's a few good books about them actually.Nightmare Roy wrote: ↑18 Jul 2018, 11:27I know someone who worked on a burger van, just an employee on min wage, some rival and his pals came down and tipped the van over with him still in it!

Aye mate. Some fukker set the front door to a flat alight and more or less wiped out a whole family. Two guys Thomas Campbell and Joe Steele were wrongly convicted and spent several years behind bars. Madness!Nightmare Roy wrote: ↑18 Jul 2018, 12:44Think I saw a documentary about it, didn't some innocent kids get killed?Stuarty wrote: ↑18 Jul 2018, 12:39We had the ice cream wars over here in the 80s.
