Re: Scott Harrison
Well it has been thought about (at least on here). I'd also dare to say that it's been thought about beyond the forums etc because it does actually make sense for both guys..... Yeah I'd fancy Burns to pound out a convincing stoppage win but it's a pay day for both.bingobango wrote: ↑22 Jul 2018, 17:44Burns v Harrison would never be thought about, Burns would punch utter eff oot Harrison, he looks as if he's been chasing the Beatle in Bar![]()
Re: Scott Harrison
The sport doesn’t owe Scott any sort of payday
Re: Scott Harrison
Nobody said it does. It remains to be seen if he'll even get licensed by the BBBoC and I highly doubt he will. He had trouble the last time. He's perfectly entitled to try though if that's what he wants to do. Personally I'd rather he didn't try a comeback although a fight with Burns is pretty intriguing. He's got a trade behind him. He could start up himself and make a decent living from that.
Re: Scott Harrison
Yeah I reckon if he wants to fight again it’s either BIBA or the unlicensed circuit coz I Carnt see him getting a bbbofc licence but good luck to him whatever he decides to doStuarty wrote: ↑23 Jul 2018, 05:36Nobody said it does. Scott's next opponent announced.

Re: Scott Harrison
He was licensed by MBC (the precursor to BIBA) in 2015 when he couldn't get a BBBoC license so its likely he will box on BIBA shows should he return.spudder56 wrote: ↑23 Jul 2018, 06:32Yeah I reckon if he wants to fight again it’s either BIBA or the unlicensed circuit coz I Carnt see him getting a bbbofc licence but good luck to him whatever he decides to doStuarty wrote: ↑23 Jul 2018, 05:36Nobody said it does. Re: Scott Harrison
I can't see how Harrison has anything left. Burns would make short work of him.
Back in the day, this would have been a good fight. Harrison nearing 41 and out of the ring for 5 years can't be defied, and although Burns is no spring chicken he at least has been active and has lived the life.

The boxing boat has sailed for Harrison.
A great champion in his prime but it would be crazy to try and come back now.

Re: Scott Harrison
Trust me Burns punches harder than you think, enough to stop Harrison in a couple, Harrison is done and it's time to move on for him now unfortunately boxing has passed him bye,. It's not even as if he could get away with fighting the same way as he did at 25, when boxers get older they need to adapt there style to getting older i.e catching rolling and slipping punches and slowing the pace of a fight down, Harrison can't do that he can only fight the one way and that done him proud when he was younger but it won't work now.Stuarty wrote: ↑22 Jul 2018, 16:51Yeah Burns isn't a concussive puncher so it's a far 'safer' fight than any other contest that would earn him the same money. I wasn't for seeing Harrison fight again tbh but I quite like the idea of this. Gets them both a pay day......handsofstone wrote: ↑22 Jul 2018, 14:19Its pretty intriguing Burns will have a lot more in the tank but I think it'd make for a interesting fight, i'd rather see Harrison retired but if he's gonna fight I doubt i'd consider Burns as dangerous, as far as risk to healths concerned
Re: Scott Harrison
I don't doubt for a second that Scott is way past it and Burns beats him. I'd rather not see Scott return to the ring as he'll be chasing something that's not there anymore but if he does this is a decent earner. It's all hypothetical anyway. I'd be very surprised if he even gets licenced again. As a few people have mentioned earlier in the thread, he'd probably have to go the BIBA route.bingobango wrote: ↑23 Jul 2018, 17:17Trust me Burns punches harder than you think, enough to stop Harrison in a couple, Harrison is done and it's time to move on for him now unfortunately boxing has passed him bye,. On Burns power, he's not the biggest puncher but I remember on the amatuer circuit he was knocking everyone out. Strange lol....

Re: Scott Harrison
Yeah, I like them ones.
Sour Cream And Onion are my favourite. I've got a tube in my cupboard I got on half price. I've been avoiding eating them for weeks. The use by date was something like 14 months after I brought them,
As soon as they're open, they'll be gone. Once I pop....

Don't know what it is about this mediocre jock that inspires these long threads. Just another humdrum stay-at-home WBO "champion" of the bad old days. He didn't fight the best in his prime--why do you care what he's going to do now?

Zero interest in seeing a 41 year old Scott Harrison coming off a 5 year layoff to fight Ricky Burns. Crazy talk.Stuarty wrote: ↑22 Jul 2018, 18:38Well it has been thought about (at least on here). Fair enough. I'd rather he wrapped it tbh but that would sell that fight...Wales wrote: ↑24 Jul 2018, 22:28Zero interest in seeing a 41 year old Scott Harrison coming off a 5 year layoff to fight Ricky Burns. Re: Scott Harrison
He's got an application in to get his licence reinstated so it's looking like he's coming back. Looking at him coming out the jail and pictures in the paper from yesterday he's looking older than his 40 years!
