The indefinite suspensions of the dead

Post by elmooxygen »

It seems a bit unfair to suspend someone indefinitely after they've already sustained in-ring injuries that decided their fate.

But if Paypal can send a letter to a woman who died three weeks previous, informing her that her death violated their policies, then I guess anything is acceptable.

“You are in breach of condition 15.4(c) of your agreement with PayPal Credit as we have received notice that you are deceased.”

It isn't Boxrec's fault, you're just reporting the facts. If these three guys are indeed currently suspended by those particular commissions, it's going to put a wrench in any attempts they make at a comeback.

i actually noticed something like this the other day, pritchard colon, who suffered a brain injury and is pretty much a vegetable now , is listed as suspended. obv its different for the guys who are actually dead, but its so obvious that colon wont be fighting again and the suspension really has no effect

As insensitive as it appears. The word suspension is neither disciplinary nor punitive. It simply defines a state of process. There is of course no way to divorce the sentiment one would have when reading this regarding someone you care about.

My dad once received the following message from the u. S. Govt.

“You will no longer be receiving retirement compensation, because YOU are dead. “

It was addressed to a deceased person and using language directed TO them

That’s beauracracy for ya.
