We don't have the rankings or women results yet, but never too late to get matches made. Since it's a late start to the week, I made the deadline Sunday Aug 5th. However, IF matches get made at a good pace and Fist has the time, it could be ran before then so we could keep our weekly schedule.

Morrison has been involved in the negotiations about facing Gomez-Madison winner for IBO title. Well, Tommy is ready to take on Darrel Madison. So, Darrel, how about that?

Huck offers a fight to:

Anaclet Wamba
Johnny Nelson
Vassily Jirov
Jean Marc Mormeck
David Haye
Carlos DeLeon

Ola Afolabi will be a backup.

Tunney has an idea of giving a shot to Ezzard Charles. They had draw once and now it could have been good time for the rematch. However, Charles was pretty far below the 15th place last week, so he most likely won't be eligible, when the rankings appear. So the second offer goes to Max Schmeling.

The GBP premium roster for the week:

Vonda Ward vs Sandra Yard
Anaclet Wamba deserves and accepts the Marco Huck Challenge, thank you Dr Duke
Max Schmeling will face James J Braddock

And we at GBP feel the need for full fumigation of all title belts, as it appears to us that these belts have suffered infestations due to neglect by the current holders.

So, the Roach Spray salesman expects to be called out by ANY AND ALL champions this week.
We then will select which belt to fully fumigate and place that titleholders name on our Premium Roster.

It does appear that Gene Tunney's manager has already performed a magic trick by turning a roach into a duck. Which is entertaining to be sure, but it also clearly indicates a lowful todyness by Gene's manager, that is beneath championship dignity. Perhaps he should reconsider his position.

That is all.

Point me at the challenge I ducked and I'll agree with you and give WBC belt to any of your fighters you chose, even to that long girl.

Oh, wait, that me, who has something to be pointed out.

To give you a heads up, Wills is the CPU champ and will probably defend his cpu title this week against another cpu.

Dariusz calls out Crease's Johnny Nelson.

Joe Louis is interested in a title fight, especially with Jack Dempsey, but as he was only just champion a couple of weeks ago he'll give other guys a chance to get their call-outs in first before seeing what's left nearer the end of the week.

Ezz is interested, very interested. I doubt beating Willard has shot him up the ratings table but I'll hold off on matching him for a while 'til we see what happens.

Gomez accepts. DeLeon is the 3rd best CW he could fight, ranking wise, and they had a nice first fight.

P4P1 hasn't been around for a while, not sure how long. He's been an active manager for many seasons, so it doesn't seem right to put his guys back into the talent pool. Especially with no new managers looking to join. However, to keep his guys active, I think if anybody calls them out, at least until he returns, the fight should be made. It would keep his guys active, and champs more options with two of his fighters right there. If one of his guys were to win a belt, we can just match him against the highest ranked challenger that wishes to fight him, or perhaps just first call out.

Madison was happy for his IBO win, though knew it was a little lucky with the cut, plus Gomez's training. He offered a rematch, which Gomez declined, at least for this week. He had a great run as the IBO champ and held the belt with pride.

Madison was inclined to fight Javier Mora, since their first fight was a debatable draw and the second fight was a TD win for Mora going to the cards after 4. With Mora being ranked, it seemed like an acceptable fight. After this week, he's looking at going against better opposition to try and defend the belt.

IF Mora was to get lucky again, he will defend the belt in week 16 against the highest eligible fighter that calls him out, so anyone between #16 and #50.

Also of note, only 8 spots left open for the MDT starting in week 17. Go to that thread to sign up your guys...... :TU:

Should be time for Halmich-Rijker II this week, right? Given how well RH evaded LR's blows in the first fight it seems a good idea to train for handspeed for the rematch (might as well make it public as I have to tell Fist anyway!)
