BJS vs Andrade done deal according to Hearn
Apparently it's a done deal according to their face book page
Re: BJS vs Andrade done deal according to Hearn
How about fights for his other fighters, the stupid bastard?!
Re: BJS vs Andrade done deal according to Hearn
Hopefully Eddie won the bid and the fight is in the US as BJS seems like he fights better when the pressure is on and he's the away fighter.

Still plenty of time for the BJS injury plague to come again.

Re: BJS vs Andrade done deal according to Hearn
They reached a deal before it went to purse bids. FW and BJS have both announced it too. The fight will be in the US on DAZN in late October.
Re: BJS vs Andrade done deal according to Hearn
Fight is on Sky too according to Hearn.
Surprised about that, I assumed if Warren was going to make a deal he’d have done so to secure the UK rights.
This is a big win for Hearn, no doubt he’ll be rubbing Saunders up about defecting during the build up.

Tough fight for BJS
Kudos for taking it. 50/50 in my eyes

I agree - think it’ll be a close fight. Pity neither of them have been very active.
It’s a bit of a coup for Matchroom. I would have though FW/BT would have been looking to double this up with Canelo v Golovkin and launch their PPV service. It’s difficult to see where they get a big September show from now.
I reckon BJS would have got $2.5mish for the fight. Interestingly Top rank were at the purse bids so that may have caused Matchroom to offer a little more.
Re: BJS vs Andrade done deal according to Hearn
Didn't Frank once slag off Eddie hearn for not stumping extra to get his fighters home advantage in tough title fights?
Seems Frank didn't stump up enough.

Re: BJS vs Andrade done deal according to Hearn
It seems a calculated gamble. Bjs produced his best performance in North America after a long training camp there (and in the Canaries). Maybe they’re hoping for the same. Also, neither he or Andrade are huge sellers so it’s not going to be hostile. Take the DZN cash and do the job?
Re: BJS vs Andrade done deal according to Hearn
Surprised at this fight. I would have thought ticking over until BJS could face the winner of Golovkin v Alvarez was the money route.
Re: BJS vs Andrade done deal according to Hearn
I'll won't believe this is actually happening until I see them both standing in the ring with gloves on receiving instructions from the referee.....

I wouldn’t have thought BT would be too happy though. FW is short of headline fighters and whilst BJS isn’t a big ticket seller he’s clearly a big enough name/good enough fighter to headline shows. This will mean BJS doesn’t fight once on BT this year.
Outside of BJS, they’ve only got Fury, Frampton and Warrington who could headline an arena show.
I think BT will be going big for the WBSS to try and fill the dates.
Re: BJS vs Andrade done deal according to Hearn
Tough fight but bill wins imo
Re: BJS vs Andrade done deal according to Hearn
There's no choice but to fight Andrade though as BJS wont give up the belt.
Honestly I cant see anyway Andrade can win as BJS is better in every department and naturally bigger, Andrade is criminally overrated by the Americans and a win over him will give BJS a lot of respect and add to his already very good resume.
Re: BJS vs Andrade done deal according to Hearn
Andrade is taller and has a longer reach, he can box pretty well too. Very awkward fight for Saunders, no immediate physical dominance like he had v the much shorter Lemiuex.digzee wrote: ↑26 Jul 2018, 08:00There's no choice but to fight Andrade though as BJS wont give up the belt.

Re: BJS vs Andrade done deal according to Hearn
I'd bet BJS will be heavier in the ring and punches harder. Andrade is a good boxer but BJS does everything a bit better, Andrade has never faced anyone like BJS and nobody as good either. Having a close fight with Culcay doesn't bode for a fight against someone bigger and much much better than Culcay is.samwbr wrote: ↑26 Jul 2018, 08:09Andrade is taller and has a longer reach, he can box pretty well too. highly doubt power matters that much, neither guy is a notable puncher. i imagin it will be pretty dull, id say andrades defo more challenging then monroe and lem though, hes not gonna get totally humiliated like a slow 4 inches shorter pub brawler

To me this is all about Eddie using his new resources and opportunities to try to knock off one of his rival's top fighters. It might work, it might not. I thought that when I heard Eddie had signed the WBO champ who beat Flanaghan. Fwank had big plans for that WBO belt and the fighters in his stable.

Re: BJS vs Andrade done deal according to Hearn
Andrade clearly didn't fancy this fight a few months ago and I supplied a video of him to this forum saying he's not ready to face the Brit yet.
Meanwhile, Fɍȁnk Wȁɍɍȅn is allowing Saunders to travel to America and appear on a Matchroom fight card, due to his belief that Billy Joe and himself really fancy the job. Hearn and Wȁɍɍȅn rarely do business together, so I cannot doubt the sincerity behind his words.
Andrade’s amateur pedigree cannot be questioned, but his lack of activity and relatively poor calibre of opposition in the pro ranks does make me wonder whether he’s not quite as good as advertised by the hype train, because he has also previously rejected opportunities to engage in marquee bouts in the past… And that’s solely on him, rather than being “ducked”.
