Post by jamamb »

haye was lineal and didnt lose to another cruiser till bellew beat him , so bellew is lineal champ

at least this is the facts according to one poster, tbh this type of 'thinking' had never crossed my mind .

No because Haye hadn't fought at Cruiserweight since demolishing Enzo in 2008 and the fights with Bellew occured at Heavyweight.

Usyk has all the belts. He is the top dog. Haye hasn't fought at cruiser for like 10'years. Bellew won the title in a manufactured fight for a vacant title. Dodged Breidis to fight a cabbage then fought David Hayes shadow twice. Lineal champion? No.......

If Bellew can become lineal cruiserweight champ by beating Haye while both men are well over the cruiserweight limit, then surely so can Klitschko, who beat Haye first.

Which in turn means Tyson Fury is the heavyweight and cruiserweight lineal champ! :OhYes:

Just no, would open up so many cans of worms :stop:

Defeat, retirement, even a very lengthy ring absence are all valid reasons for losing lineal status but vacating the title and/or moving up in weight are as valid as any.

No Because Bellend ducked the CW WBSS finals and instead decided to cherry pick a cash out fight against an injured Haye.

He has lost his lineal status to Usyk because he chickened out of the CW WBSS finals.

I would bet on Uysk, Gassiev, Dorticos and Breidis to beat the Bellend.
