He asked me to come and ask for his record to be corrected. The "fight" with Tim Dendy twenty years ago was an EXHIBITION BOUT, not a legitimate contest. NO DECISION was rendered.
This article from 2003, written by Thomas Hauser, mentions Dendy as being 0-25-1 in his last 26 bouts as of that writing. Dendy never fought again after 2002. If you go backwards 26 bouts...
The fact are facts .....I was to fight Thomas mcgrogan that night. But he had the flu. So I had to drive home with no money. A guy that look like a tough guy came up to me & said he would fight me in a NO decision so we could both get paid because his opponent fell out also. I was supposed to be the body double for Woody Harrelson in an upcoming movie called Play it to the Bone and I couldn't afford to get beat up. So me and Tim Dendy slapped each other around for four rounds and got booed out of the place lol. We both agreed to a no decision before the fight. And that's what it was turned into fight fax. It's a shame that Boxrec has people just sending in what they assume are official records and changing the records on BoxRec. I ordered fight fax about 10 times to clean up my record like 15 years ago or more ,over $100 worth of official records. It just made me laugh that someone came back and changed it after 15 years even though I paid to have it corrected many times in the past LOL there are about five or six other no decisions that weren't recorded. I wouldn't dare add them on now knowing that some idiot would come along and say he saw the fight and it was a win or a loss. So I shall go back into retirement again with a perfect record of 37wins & 37 Loses lol
