Dave Allen IFL Interview
Dave Allen IFL Interview
Didn’t sit well that , Hearn talking about win bonuses and asking if that tickles his balls n all that rubbish talk.
Dave wasn’t with it and Just looked distance and dazed out . If that was my mate or family I be really concerned .Hope he’s ok
Kugan sounded concerned too

Re: Dave Allen IFL Interview
Yeah I agree, I also think they are taking the piss, didn't he get something like 9 grand to fight Ortiz? Fcuking disgraceful if it's true.
Re: Dave Allen IFL Interview
Was very sad to see. Mentally he looks shot and not in a good place at all.
I don't know enough of the tests conducted but he is not in a fit state to fight.
Wrongly or rightly it's made me feel the need to watch this to make sure he is ok.

Made me feel the opposite and not want to watch it , I work in a industry linked with
Mental Health and he shouldn’t Anywhere a boxing ring.
Needs support not knocking out
Hope tomorrow his last one

Re: Dave Allen IFL Interview
A bit punch drunk to me, being fed to the lions here. Hopefully Allen won't take to much punishment in there tomorrow night.
Re: Dave Allen IFL Interview
He clearly doesn't want to be there. How much you think he is earning for this ?
Re: Dave Allen IFL Interview
Don’t know but his health and family are worth more

Re: Dave Allen IFL Interview
He’ll be getting well paid for this fight, but as people are saying he already sounds punchy.
The guy has got some issues and the public arena is not the best place for him.
But, he probably thrives on the attention and In some ways I admire a guy who chooses to live a few years as a lion rather than a life of packing donuts on a conveyor belt.
He is leading a non ordinary life and I think that appeals to his personality. When it stops he will probably seek that buzz in heavy gambling, but what can you do?
Some people have a self destruct button and there is not much you can do to change it.

Yeah, I also noticed that Eddie's IFL video on Thursday (?) at the open workouts was very poor form. He sounded like a real ruthless suit. Through his smile he made it very clear that Allen and Webb are just two pieces of meat baited with the promise of a win bonus.
All a bit unplaeasant and very classless.

Re: Dave Allen IFL Interview
This interview is a bit worse, he actually seems slightly drunk, something definitely up with him
Re: Dave Allen IFL Interview
Nick Webb is hardly being fed to the lions, he doesn't sound any diff from normal, just looks like the usual pre fight self doubt and nerves
For his talent Allen has been paid well and been given a lot of opportunity, boxing has been good to him

He‘s just media weary, he’s alright.

Re: Dave Allen IFL Interview
I don't think he sounds remotely punchy, and appeared mostly himself. But his tweet earlier about feeling off is worrying.
Re: Dave Allen IFL Interview
Yes, there have been. But we are not talking about anyone else. We're talking about the UK's number 1 promoter who is backed by the UK biggest subscription network and the biggest player in UK boxing.Noxy wrote: ↑27 Jul 2018, 18:05There has been worse.liamlion wrote: ↑27 Jul 2018, 16:36 Yeah, I also noticed that Eddie's IFL video on Thursday (?) at the open workouts was very poor form. The UK isn't American and people won't tolerate such arrogance or disregard.
First time I've seen this from Hearn. It doesn't sit well with me. Without fighters there isn't a sport and they deserve a bit more regard than that shown by Hearn. After all, it's the fighters who are risking their health in all this and money really isn't the only important factor. Or at least it shouldn't be.

Re: Dave Allen IFL Interview
Reading body language there, dave Allen really dislikes hearn
Re: Dave Allen IFL Interview
I think he does like him, he's talked about him well in the past.
Coked out of it froch saying hearn stopping Joshua-Wilder happening was pretty funny.

Re: Dave Allen IFL Interview

Re: Dave Allen IFL Interview
Game and tough man, fairplay to him
But imo I reckon he should hang em up

Re: Dave Allen IFL Interview
That's what iam getting at .because come the last round I was gutted for him when the reff stopped It because. He deversed the bell.huge heart tough as .but that has a time .He seems like a good lad .i would hate to see a young man hurt with years a head of him for nothing but being a punch bagmercman wrote: ↑28 Jul 2018, 10:39 Yeah, that's a good point. Dave's a tough fvcker, of that there's no doubt. But that might end up being a weakness as much as a strength because it means he can soak up a lot of punishment - and that usually takes its toll in the end.
I wish Dave Allen well though. I hope he wins tonight and then takes stock before deciding what to do next.
I've got a feeling it won't go that way though and he ends up taking a beating again. I hope I'm wrong.

Re: Dave Allen IFL Interview
The interview by himself was quite concerning, that isn't a man in a good place.
Always enjoy listening to Dave, that wasn't him, he doesn't normally struggle to get his point across.
