Chisora mugs off Eddie Hearn

Post by Cyclops »

Surprised nobody has commented on Hearn oiling his way into Dereck’s post fight interview to talk about Del’s “injured shoulder” and Del cutting him off to say that there had been nothing wrong with it and he’d told Hearn he might pull out only to get Eddie to offer him more money, which by the look on Eddie’s face must have been completely true. Embarrassed Hearn in a number of ways there, and even when the mics were off them both you could see Hearn was still fuming.

It was immensely satisfying.

because Eddie knew the bill was already struggling. big name pull outs ets meant that Eddie needed Del boy more than the other way round for a change.

Seemed 100% true as well by Eddie's reaction.
However, Hearn was talking about offering Del Boy some big fights following that performance so don't think it will affect their 'working relationship' too much.
Madness how Del Boys career has turned out from a popularity perspective. He is such a fan favourite now compared to earlier in his career.

If it is actually true it's hilarious
Only thing is his bestest buddy Bellew mentioned a shoulder problem before the interview with Eddie and I would have thought he wouldn't have told a porky to him considering the love they show to each other.

To be fair to Chisora he gets a huge amount of respect from most of his fellow professionals considering what a loose cannon he is .

I think Derek was joking - he ended by saying " well it'll certainly feel better now" at the end (about his shoulder). If Hearn looked put out,it was probably because he didn't want even the impression going round that someone got the better of him...

Yeah - I’m pretty sure Chisora was just winding Eddie up.

Whether he was lying or not Hearn looked furious

However it seems like Chisora is now a firm fan favourite and Eddie has to choke on it. I don’t hate Hearn as much as some people but sometimes you’d think he was in there fighting himself and he’s not, so Del Boy taking him down a peg or two really capped off a great fight and a great result for Del.

Shame Whyte doesn’t want the rematch because I don’t see either of them winning world titles but they’re both made for each other. I could see a trilogy, even.

Good also to see the customary booing of Hearn when they interviewed him .

Thought I also heard him react to it by saying they love me really !

You can't argue he knows how to put on a show .

He did have a shoulder injury, bellew commented on it after the fight before the post fight interview and he was in a sling in teh post fight presser, chisora said this probably because he didnt wanna make any excuses and he was so happy to come through the fight with the W.

Chisora is like a whyte he turns up he fights anyone and gets on with it,i love the pair of them, not the most talented but boy can they fight

I said to my brother after the 4th round that Chisora has an injured shoulder and I didn't know anything about a sling. I also thought that he had an injured right leg but no one mentioned anything about that.

Chisora was trolling Hearn. To beat a top 20 HW like Takam with a dodgy shoulder is a real achievement and many are calling this the fight of the year.

Didn’t Del Boy ask him not to mention it and when he did he came out with I was only joking, wanted more money etc. I thought he did it to take Hearn down a peg or two for continuing to talk about something he asked him not to.

That wasn't being mugged off!!
Being mugged off is when Bellew blanked him after Fast Car leapt in the ring after the first Haye fight.
I guess Tony is making too much money now for Eddie to hold a grudge!

Eddie is vain, spoiled and full of himself. A promoter with a fragile ego who stoops to tweeting insults to rival fighters.

Anything that brings him down a peg or two will be healthier for him in the long run.

Wasn't he this biggest bully of his school? Think I remember reading that he made Jodie Marsh's life a living hell but nothing could be done because of his dad Barry.

Easy to spread rumours on the internet.

I notice nobody ever banged on about Bellew nearly shoving Coldwell through the ropes before he shrugged Hearn off??? What a load of crap that story is. As if Bellew would bite that hand?!? Far too clever for that.

I’m not a fan of Hearn, he is a promoter so no need to support him or otherwise.

It’s all about money.

Chisora commands huge fees for a bloke who has lost more than he’s won at a good level. He just seems to always be in with shout.
And let’s be honest there’s very few true fighters around like him. He’s mad.
