Built a record against plumbers and then fell apart as soon as he met a fighter who fought back (eventually).

Not the worst ever, but very poor indeed.

Dave Allen was a punch bag until he landed that shot, Webb was hitting him left, right and centre. Maybe Webb got a little careless because Allen was throwing barely anything back.

Not the poorest at all.

In fact he got caught with a big shot but that can happen when you are careless, and nothing is coming back against you

Always thought his record was padded and unimpressive. Still a good win for Allen, great to see.

No-one was saying that on here before. There were plenty of posts about car crash TV and Allen was in for a hiding, slurring his words etc. Now Webb is a joke apparently. Come on people.

Yeah his interview with Hearn ‘didn’t sit well’ and people should intervene to get him to not fight. He always looks too relaxed before fights. I said in the rbr Webb is not anywhere near as good as guys like Ortiz and Yoka, not even Lenroy Thomas. He was on a sky show against a journeyman and was lethargic there so Allen for me was always going to take him later and land one over that distance.

Call me sentimental, but I like to believe that they have a decent trade to fall back on.

Did the plumber description come from Tyson Furys great c5 interview? Never heard it before then and it's used quite about now.
Off to watch that interview again! Gets me everytime.

I’ve seen it loads of times but it still makes me laugh - partly due to the sound of fear in the interviewers voice as he thought he was seconds away from looking for a new job.

Tries stopping it once half way through then crazily gives him another few seconds and he comes out "and tell your gay lover bellew he is getting it too"

in fairness to the white rhino, webb was unbeaten. sometimes with unbeaten fighters its hard to know just how good they are going to be. Dave was the underdog, soaked up some pressure for a few rounds (webb was boxing relatively well) then he landed the scud.
