Jack Catterall Ohara Davies

Post by KiwiRider »

How will this one go?
Fwank says it's done and dusted.
Whoever wins makes a place as the UK #2 SLW under Taylor.

Now that Taylor has proven how good he is, I don't hold Davies loss against him too much- he lost to a world level SLW. I do question his heart though.
If Jack goes in hammer and tongs, and keeps up the pressure, I voted Catterall decision.
I wondered (hoped) when Davies signed with Fwank, if this fight would be made, and now it is!

Close fight. Can see it being a real war. Catterall will test Davies heart again and Davies will no doubt test Jacks chin.

I'm just siding with Catterall but it's too close to call with any confidence. Both will have their moments.

I fancy Davies to stop him.

Taylor, Catterall is not. I feel he struggles to go through the gears.

Davies I feel learnt from his Taylor horror show.

Good fight.

By the way chaps, I have set up the Weshaw Memorial Poll so you can change your vote as the fight gets closer, I'm not 100% on picking an outcome, and I'm sure a lot of you are umming and ahhing about who wins...

From the comments it seems to be 50/50 but the poll has Catterall by a landslide :o

I'm really surprised Caterall by knockout hasn't got more votes.

I've said Davies is no good since his first Sky fight and I stand by it. His power is a myth as well.

I can be critical of Caterrall too, particularly binning the British title like he did. However he did beat Tyrone Nurse who is leagues above Davies best wins. Ohara also turned the Nurse fight down to fight Derry Matthews.

At least Caterall had good preparation against McKenna beforehand,. McKenna has one thing Davies lacks and that is heart. Davies meanwhile has done nothing since quitting against Josh Taylor.

Caterall needs to improve for him to knockout Davies like I predict. He worked the body more against McKenna which is how Josh Taylor broke Davies down.

Jack just needs a ruthless edge to him here. If he brings it I heavily fancy him to knock Davies out in 6 rounds.

Then again this is an FW show and plenty of time left for it to fall apart.

Really hope not as long as Bowen gets a decent opponent it looks a good card.

I highly doubt it'll go ahead as planned  It'll end up looking like a proper patch up job compared to the original card.
