Back in the day with it being more than commonplace for middleweight boxers to compete in heavyweight bouts, how would Golovkin have handled squaring off against someone like Jack Johnson?

I think Kalan would have seen a possible competitive match here since he regarded GGG so highly. I think GGG is great as well....and/but the Ketchel bout is probably not a bad comparison. Golovkin gets treated with some respect by Jack until he (GGG) bloodies Jack's nose or some such. And then, within a few ticks of the clock, GGG's electricity is promptly turned off by the power company.

won the hw title vs a 5'7 guy who weighed 168 day of the fight, can you imagine a guy like aj facing a guy the size of curt stevens
