Ritson in 1
Re: Joe Cordina vs Lewis Ritson
It has to be Ritson, dosent it?
The man's a beast. He took out Hyland, Scottie Cardle and Murray in less than 2 rounds!
In fact, his last 3 fights have been over with in a total of less than 10 minutes.
Cordina starts slow, is there any way he could last against Lewis like that?

Cordina doesn't have the power to keep Ritson off and gets hit too easily to last the course. He also is poor on the inside, has no inside game offensively, it's all about doing a Degale on the inside and you can't be doing that vs Ritson.KiwiRider wrote: ↑04 Aug 2018, 18:44 It has to be Ritson, dosent it?![]()

Cardle showed that if you ain't got power you won't get Ritsons respect. Ritson will walk Cordina down and stop him in 4

Cordina wins imo

Definitely too soon for Cordina, but the lad is super talented.
Although he made very hard work of last night and that is not meant in any disrespect to Masher, who we all know is game.
Is Cordina trained by Simms? If so, get him away from there quick as possible and send him along to Adam Booth.

No way of keeping Ritson off, if you don't get his respect. The lad is relentless .

Re: Joe Cordina vs Lewis Ritson
Ritson’s that 9 months or so ahead of Cordina in his development and match making (assuming Cordina keeps winning.)
Talk for Ritson is of European titles where Cordina’s next fight will possibly be Scott Cardle.
This is lucky for Cordina I think as the evidence seems to be that Ritson hits very hard at British level.

I actually think Cordina has a slightly better skill set, but that means nothing when a guy like Ritson will walk straight through it.

I’m in the minority here but I think Cordina stands him on his head and wins nearly every round.
Similar outcome to Eggington-Skeete

Poor post comparing Ritson in any respect to Eggington.PredatorHayds wrote: ↑11 Aug 2018, 08:32 I’m in the minority here but I think Cordina stands him on his head and wins nearly every round.

Cordina doesn't have the power to keep Ritson off and that Degale routine on the inside will get him starched quickly. You need to either have the power to keep Ritson honest or be good enough to nullify Ritson when the fight is up close. Cordina has neither. Its a mismatch. Ritson would have done Dodd inside 2.

I meant more of the outcome of the fight as opposed to the styles.TheLeprechaun wrote: ↑11 Aug 2018, 08:39Poor post comparing Ritson in any respect to Eggington.PredatorHayds wrote: ↑11 Aug 2018, 08:32 I’m in the minority here but I think Cordina stands him on his head and wins nearly every round.

Cordina is one of the best British amateurs I’ve seen over the last few cycles.
He has the footwork to expose Ritson.
It’s not a fight I expect to see anytime soon though.

Not with you on Cordina. Good footwork isn't enough anyway. Campbell beating Ritson is something I could see though.PredatorHayds wrote: ↑11 Aug 2018, 09:17I meant more of the outcome of the fight as opposed to the styles.TheLeprechaun wrote: ↑11 Aug 2018, 08:39Poor post comparing Ritson in any respect to Eggington.PredatorHayds wrote: ↑11 Aug 2018, 08:32 I’m in the minority here but I think Cordina stands him on his head and wins nearly every round.

I'll have one as well.
Ritson v Campbell is a very very good bout. But I'll go with Lewis. He is special.
