Josh Taylor Ryan Martin WBSS

Post by KiwiRider »

How do you see this going?
Taylor picked Martin who is unbeaten, has more pro fights but not as experienced at the level Taylor is.
I've only seen Martin fight Rojo and thought he was pretty skilled despite his fascination with nut shots- but it was a fairly close fight. Trained by Abel Sanchez and doing his camp at altitude. So he should come in with a fight plan and be fit for 12 rounds. After 22 fights I would have expected Martin to be fighting higher level opponents, typical modern era protection of the "0".
Is he ready for Taylor?
He wanted to enter the series, but is fight #1 going to be his entrance and exit?

Nah mate, just some speculation about it being in Glasgow because Martin doesn't have the US following to pull a big crowd.
The fight can't be too far off if Ryan is in camp.
Here's a good article to whet your appetite even more :D
