I think browne is only in boxing now for a chance at a payday , not employing a recognised coach and trying to drum up interest for a fight with a journeyman like Dave Allan sort of confirms that .

I can't imagine he will gain much from his next fight with Roger and I can't imagine a lot of people being interested in it. A fight with Leapai would be a good domestic fight for him which could draw a crowd.

Browne's last fight was a train wreck. No argument there. But for a guy who started so late, I think, all things considered, he has achieved plenty and I think his management have by and large directed him along reasonably well.

That said, I have been critical of them from time to time.

I agree, but I also give some credit to Soko, who came in great shape and brought the fight to Browne. The KD was more of catching Browne off balance than stunning him. Soko was robbed and this sort of robbery with a fighter such as Kamil makes me more angry than the Canelo kind.

Browne has a very padded record. Soko showed what kind of boxer he really is last night. Hes nothing special at all and is not even world class, no matter what he has achieved. I hopw he fights Dave Allen next as Browne has literally zero chance in stopping him and I cant see Browne outpointing Allen over 10 rounds. Dave Allen is again nothing special, he is only British standard at the very most.

Allen dropped Big Daddy at 0:58 in the 3rd round with a solid left rip to the liver.
Browne was counted out.
The fight was pretty even before the stoppage.
Don't expect to see Allen mixing it with the big boys any time soon.
Maybe he should call out De Mori.

He needs to retire. Well, he can continue knocking out journeymen, but is it a really good option? He doesn't have too much chances against the top guys, he's old, it is better to retire in such cases, as the history shows.

That's what I said after his loss to Whyte. It looks like, I was right. Of course, now I'm even more stuck to my opinion.

In a video he posted to his Facebook page a few hours after the fight, Browne said he has no plans of hanging up the gloves.

"Unfortunately it didn't go my way, as you can tell," he said.

"I thought I was dominating the fight - or dominating what actually went on - very happy with me performance.

"Unlucky to get caught with a great body shot. Full credit to Dave, he bought it. It was a great shot and it hurt.

"I'm very glad I didn't get any cuts, no bulls**t. I walked out of the O2 this time, rather than going out in an ambulance, so I'm very happy with the performance.

"It is what it is. Back to the drawing board. A couple of weeks off, then back into training and we'll go again."

I always liked Lucas, but I didn’t think he had enough left to beat Allen and that’s rather telling. If he had won there was probably one more decent payday there but now it’s hard to see how he can work his way back to any kind of level...

Gonzalo who boasts more tatts that Big Daddy, has a prodigiously padded record of 74 wins and 12 losses thanks to 16 years of fighting fellow taxi drivers.

Also on the card of 9 November at St. Marys Band Club is the one and only ringman, John Hopoate. TBA faces Hoppa at the moment, and maybe the winner of Browne/Gonzales rumble could have a crack at Hoppa down the track.
