Re: boxers you think are clean
I'd be interested in how often British fighters get checked it seems that in America they don't really care if someone is roided up as most of the comments have indicated I don't think it's the same over here there's still a big stigma about it I might be wrong and I don't know how often boxers are checked but I'd like to think most British guys are clean .

It IS you! Asjdjk or whatever you were called. Back on ignore for you! Thank God I barely got into a paragraph of your meaningless drivel.astradamus wrote: ↑14 Aug 2018, 05:05 What's "clean"?
I mean I see all kind of boxers 90% of the time busy with special vitamins and nutricians and things like that, many of them even openly, including AJ and Tyson Fury (and Tyson Fury doesn't seem to be that much of a super athlete). TBH I never took any of such things and I have never seen such "food" hanging on any tree or swimming in a river or the sea. But even at the supermarket I see all kind of unnatural E numbers in my food, so how "clean" am I myself? Even if you look at children from 50 years ago, they are all skinny and such, nowadays they are all at least 20% more fat, with the adults it's even worse.
Somehow nobody ever seem to blame them, but as soon as it's a nanogram or something putted on a list, or crossing some number, then everything is wrong. Povetkin was the most tested boxer in the world at some point, continually tested by American labs, but you don't expect Wilder to be tested by any Russian lab do you? The only moment Stiverne ever got busted was when he was taking doping life in front of a doping tester?! And what did the WBC say? Yea he didn't do it on purpose, so he can stay in the rankings and have a fight anyway, no problem. I mean what?! He's drugged, you know he's drugged, and you still allow him to fight in the ring?! You even make him mandatory for the second time in a couple of years while he hasn't won against anyone ranked by the WBC in many years?! And even the fights he did have, it's not even broadcasted?! And their current so called mandatory it's exactly the same story, I haven't seen no footage of Breazeale vs Molina? Molina who appearantly doped against AJ as well btw, which was probably the reason why Wilder expected that fight to go to distance. Either way, back to Stiverne, how is it possible that he never got busted at all, untill the moment people actually visably saw him taking doping? And how dumb must you be to do such a thing? I mean, I never drank a bottle of wiskey in front of the police exactly at the moment he's taking an alcohol test at me by accident and then a judge saying oh, you can drive on while you just drank a bottle of wiskey because you didn't realise it was wiskey!
Wilder continually openly predicting who's going to fail a doping test, he predicted it with Ortiz for example. Wilder was literally teasing Ortiz with facts that happened years before, by saying things like "don't screw it up!" "don't fail the test this time!" when they were supposed to fight, something he never did with Stiverne and neither with Arreola, who both clearly failed tests, while Ortiz clearly made a minor mistake. It sometimes really seems like some sporters got special connections with the labs, not just boxers btw.
Look at Froome for example, a cyclist, he's in hospital about 100 days a year, so he must be in really bad health right? At the same time he wins the tour de france and the giro d'italia several times in a row?! Fans even joke "oh he got an asthma attack exactly at the right time just before the has to climb the mountain again!" (when you got asthma you may take some medicine that improves your stamina, 90% of the mountain climbers got asthma!). A friend of mine is a cyclistfreak and he also says, you're not allowed to have this and this above a level of 50, because that's impossible to be natural according to scientists. So guess what the cyclists continually score? 10? 15? 20? Like you and me? No, 49, 47, 49, 48, 49, 49, 49, 48, 49, 47 and so the list go's on.
In the US there failed 139 people a doping test last year, but 51 of them took it for "medical reasons", so they get a pass.
In Russia 66 people failed a doping test last year, and 0 of them took it for "medical reasons", so none of them got a pass.

I mean, how does that work? To me it seems like Americans usually got an excuse for just about everything, and get away with just about anything, and Russians get blamed for the smallest things, it doesn't make sense. The sisters Williams are both much stronger then the top men tennis players, remarkebly both are (and have always been) much worse tennis players, even men outside the top 100 who drank a few beers where much better.

Donaire was the only fully compliant drug tested fighter I heard of.

Exactly. Its quite easy to mask PEDs and a lot of PEDs have a short half life so unless fighters are tested on a weekly basis most will get away with itgilgamesh wrote: ↑12 Aug 2018, 12:58 Doesn't really matter to me.
Unless a fight is cancelled due to their PED's I frankly don't give a f*ck what they're on. I assume everybody is cycling on and off of something most of the time.
Not just fighters either. Football players, Baseball players, Basketball players, Track stars...and everything in between.
Bowlers and maybe Golfers probably don't bother with PED's, but that's about it![]()

Parker, Whyte, Chisora, Joshua, Kovalev, Golovkin, Groves, and Lomachenko amongst the top men.
No sudden body changes, no obvious odd behaviour and built like the fighters of yore.
(In AJs case this means Frank Bruno. Bodybuilder types were usually frowned upon by trainers, but Frank was an obsessive trainer up at 6am every day!)

There's a lot of banned drugs that don't specifically build muscle/drop bf. Plenty of antiinflammatory drugs, stimulants etc are also classed as PEDs.Thomastearns wrote: ↑15 Aug 2018, 15:03 Parker, Whyte, Chisora, Joshua, Kovalev, Golovkin, Groves, and Lomachenko amongst the top men.

You have my full and undivided attention.
I'm always interested in why people choose unusual names, in fact I started a thread on it once. Those I was hoping would reply didn't, instead I got replies along the lines of "I chose 'Ali' because he was my favourite boxer".
Disappointing. I wanted to hear from people like "Saadoffthedeck" and "Badhusker" just to name two with an unusual handle.
Re: boxers you think are clean
I was working in a mental health secure unit when I joined boxrec and Clopixol Acuphase was the strongest injection we could give an uncontrollable violent patient. It has nothing to do with boxing but it was the only thing I could think of when I signed up.candyslim wrote: ↑15 Aug 2018, 15:50You have my full and undivided attention.

I wish i’d chosen something different but that’s my name now and i’ve never been banned or spat my dummy out and deleted myself.

Saadoffthedeck was a reference to Matthew Saad Muhammad I think. Did he get knocked down a lot? His career was before my time and so I've only seen a few of his fights. Certainly he was known as a guy who rallied back time and again after being hurt anyway. I think he was the guy's favourite fighter ever but I might be wrong.candyslim wrote: ↑15 Aug 2018, 15:50You have my full and undivided attention.

I missed the part where all PEDs give you hard muscle.
Re: boxers you think are clean
joshua actually put on a load of muscle after the olympics, pretty sure he used to be in mid 220s as an am. he is not a poster boy for constant body appearance, rather he has clearly bulked up and continued to add size into the mid 250s, until even his team and eddie hearn said hes getting too big
and ya, peds arent just about muscle or visible body change at all, though it happens with some guys like marquez

As far as they are competing at the very top level, they will do everything to enhance their chance. Caught in this cycle , they will not leave out any mean to strengthen their confidence to have not left out something, that might help.
Re: boxers you think are clean
I don't understand your post. Are you saying Joshua and Whyte are clean? Whyte has already been busted, and I have zero doubt Joshua is roiding. Joshua has all the signs of with that roid gut, and I bet his FFI is ridiculous.Thomastearns wrote: ↑15 Aug 2018, 15:03 Parker, Whyte, Chisora, Joshua, Kovalev, Golovkin, Groves, and Lomachenko amongst the top men.

Hyacinthus Turnipseed: Yeah I got as far as Matt Franklin aka Saad Muhammad. He was one tough s.o.b. and I don't recall him having to climb of the canvas much despite him taking on the best in his weight-class. Maybe my memory is at fault.
